To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10.00 on September 19, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and seventy-third day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

Russian occupiers continue to ignore international humanitarian law, carrying out not only attacks on Ukrainian positions but also strikes on civilian infrastructure in populated areas, terrorizing peaceful residents. Thus, yesterday, the Russian Federation launched another attack on Ukraine with cruise missiles and Shahed-136/131 tactical drones. The air defense system destroyed all 17 cruise missiles and 18 out of 24 "Shaheds" of the enemy. Sadly, as a result of these terrorist acts by the Kremlin, there are casualties among civilians, destroyed residential buildings, and damaged civilian infrastructure.

Forces defending Ukraine continue to conduct defensive operations in eastern and southern Ukraine, an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy step by step, liberating temporarily occupied territories, and consolidating their positions at the achieved lines.

During the past day, 35 combat engagements took place. The enemy carried out 22 missile strikes and 57 air raids, conducted 55 artillery attacks on our military positions and populated areas.

Air raids were suffered by Bereznove, Kopanki, Shyikivka in the Kharkiv region; Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Novosadovoe, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Krasnogorivka, Vuhledar, Staromayorskoye in the Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka and Robotino in the Zaporizhzhia region; Veselo, Odradokamyanka, Mykolaivka in the Kherson region.

More than 70 populated areas in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions were subjected to artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "North" on the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy continues to maintain covering forces along the state border. Conducts active sabotage activities in border areas with the aim of preventing our troops from moving into threatening sectors, increasing mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Hortytsia" on the Bakhmut direction, forces defending successfully repelled enemy attacks near Klyshchivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy attempted to restore lost positions near Andriyivka in the Donetsk region, but was unsuccessful. Forces defending continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating their positions at the achieved lines.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Tavria" on the Mariupol direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Mariinka in the Donetsk region. During this day, the enemy made more than 10 unsuccessful attempts to drive our units from their positions. At the same time, on the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, forces defending maintain initiative, pressuring the enemy and gradually reclaiming our land.

On the Melitopol direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Robotino in the Zaporizhzhia region, attempting to restore lost positions. Forces defending continue to hold their defensive lines, inflicting losses on occupying troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, forces defending conduct counter-battery battles, destroying supply depots and successfully targeting the rear of the enemy.

The Kremlin continues to send military personnel from territorial entities of the Russian Federation to temporarily occupied territories of our country. Thus, on September 15 this year, about 100 conscripts from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the Russian Federation arrived at the local airfield in the temporarily occupied city of Yevpatoria in Crimea for strengthening security and defense of the specified object.

The command of Russian occupation forces plans to introduce specializations in repair of armored and automotive military equipment into the system of corrective colonies on temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region, as well as adjacent areas within the Russian Federation. The occupiers have already begun developing educational materials and forming visual aids, including stands, diagrams, models. It is expected that prisoners from correctional labor colony No. 27 in Gorlovka and No. 32 in Makеivka will be the first to acquire specializations in repairing military equipment. Russian oppressors also plan to involve these inmates for repair of military equipment directly in combat areas.

During the past day, aviation of forces defending carried out nine strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas, weapons and military equipment.

Subunits of rocket troops hit two enemy personnel concentration areas, weapons and military equipment, three air defense missile systems, 19 artillery systems, one command point.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day totaled: 520 occupiers, five tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, 35 artillery systems, two MLRS, one anti-aircraft system, 15 tactical drones, 17 cruise missiles, 30 vehicles and two units of special equipment.
