In Milan, where the Euro 2024 qualification match Italy — Ukraine took place, an official meeting of delegations from the Ukrainian Association of Football and the Italian Football Federation was held, at which the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Italian Republic, Yaroslav Melnyk, participated.

The official meeting between the Ukrainian Football Association and the Italian Football Federation took place in Milan, where the Euro 2024 qualification match Italy — Ukraine was held. The meeting included participation from the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Italian Republic, Yaroslav Melnyk.

From the UAF, the meeting was attended by First Vice Presidents Oleksiy Mykhaylichenko and Vadim Kostyuchenko, as well as Deputy General Secretary Igor Gryshchenko. The Italian delegation was led by President of the Italian Football Federation and UEFA Vice-President Gabriele Gravina and General Secretary Marco Brunelli.

During the meeting, representatives from the UAF thanked Italians for their help during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in general and specifically highlighted football cooperation that intensified after February 2022. They also asked Italian federation leaders to convey gratitude to Italian clubs for taking Ukrainian children’s and youth football teams onto their training grounds at the beginning of the Russian invasion. Additionally, discussions were held on further cooperation between Ukraine and Italy in developing children's and youth football, organizing joint social projects.
