President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about drones and our technological capabilities in general, as well as a meeting regarding our international activities.

"I wish good health to all Ukrainians!

Today I held the High Command. Frontline issues that are important now. Defense issues that are strategically important.

Commanders reported on the situation in the eastern and southern directions. The Chief of General Staff and the Ministry of Defense — a discussion about ammunition. Deputy Prime Minister Fedorov and State Special Communications Service — what concerns drones and our technological capabilities overall.

In every combat brigade, soldiers among their first questions ask about drones, electronic warfare equipment, and air defense systems.

Answering these questions is the work we do with partners to supply necessary drones and systems. This also involves our work here in Ukraine. Necessary production must be ramped up significantly. We need to systematize what is already being supplied to troops and used. Drones are the eyes and protection on the frontline, of various ranges and purposes. Drones guarantee that people won't have to pay with their lives when drones can do the job.

In fact, everything we talked about with the guys yesterday in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and our combat brigades is now the substance of work for the General Staff, government officials, and High Command. Clear tasks.

Today I also held a lengthy meeting on our international activities this month and in the second half of August. New defense packages. New political decisions for Ukraine. Support for our state and people. This August must be fruitful for Ukraine — it's a task for everyone in our government, every person working towards Ukraine's success.

Today there is something special to highlight about our soldiers. 80th Separate Assault Brigade — thank you, boys, for your strength under Bakhmut! A force that can only be written about with admiration. United Storm Battalion of the National Police "Lut" — thank you, soldiers, for your success!

Responsibilities of OSUV "Tavria". 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, marines of the 35th and 36th brigades, artillerymen of the 44th brigade — thank you all for excellent results for Ukraine! Well done, soldiers! Never diminish your strength!

I would like to specially highlight today's Ukrainian rescuers. Dnipropetrovsk region, Kharkiv region, Donetsk region, Odesa region, our ports. Everywhere where Russian strikes occurred this night and not only tonight. It is very important that people help each other, care for those who have suffered, always and everywhere regardless of circumstances, saving lives.

I thank all the employees of DSNS, medics and police officers, all military personnel helping, local authorities and volunteers working for people and Ukraine. Every act of assistance now is a manifestation of our collective strength, not just our faith but also our strong conviction that Ukraine will stand firm, overcome everything, and achieve victory.

And one more thing. Something the whole world needs to hear and see right now.

Last night Russian terrorists again targeted our ports. At infrastructure that is involved in ensuring not just ours but global food security. Just a month after Russia's attempt to destroy the Black Sea Grain Initiative, this was already the seventh massive Russian attack. The port of Reni, the port of Izmail, the port of Southern, the port of Odesa, the port of Chornomorsk, Mykolaiv... Every Russian strike on them is a blow to global food prices and social and political stability in Africa and Asia. Basic things that give every society normal life — food on family tables. No other terrorist in the world has ever so openly and deliberately hit at the security of so many nations.

We need to react to this. Everyone! We must counter it — actively, with joint efforts!

I thank all leaders and countries that help Ukraine defend our state, thus ensuring global security for everyone in the world. PPE for Ukraine, weapons for our soldiers, sanctions, financial, and political pressure on Russia — these are now the main things guaranteeing security and restoring peace to the whole world.
