The head coach of the Second League newcomer, Styr's "Salka 1911," Mykola Vasylyshyn, commented on the official website of the UAF that his players managed to defeat First League "Khust" 5-2 in the second preliminary round of the Vbet Cup and clarified what tasks lie ahead for the team:

— We prepared very thoroughly for the match against "Khust," analyzing their last official game with "Karpaty."

Unfortunately, due to various reasons, the footballers of "Salka 1911" started preparing for the new season much later than other teams, and there were concerns about their physical condition. Moreover, almost the entire team composition changed, so game connections needed improvement.

I decided to set my players up to take on a high tempo from the start of the match and try to score an early goal. This worked out for us; in fact, we secured our passage to the next round before halftime, although in the second half "Khust" played more purposefully.

Of course, I am satisfied with my players' performance, among whom are experienced First League players. The victory over "Khust" will add confidence and motivation for us. This is important because we plan to stay in the cup competition as long as possible.

In the third preliminary round "Salka 1911" will host "Niva" (Ternopil).
