Note to attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on July 26, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The eighteenth hundred and fifty-eighth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our state has begun.

Forces of the Ukrainian Defense are continuing offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdyansk axes. Ukrainian soldiers are consolidating their positions on the lines they have reached, delivering artillery fire at identified targets of the enemy, conducting counter-battery measures. In the vicinity of Staromayorskoye, there was success, they are consolidating on the lines they have reached. The enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore lost positions northeast of Robotino in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. At the same time, it continues to put up strong resistance, conducting troop movements and actively using reserves.

On the Bakhmut axis, our troops are continuing offensive actions north and south of the city of Bakhmut.

During the past day, the enemy delivered one missile and 65 air strikes, carried out 84 attacks with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our forces and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians; residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

During the past day, 26 combat engagements took place.

On the Volyn and Polissya axes, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, the enemy maintains military presence. Delivered air strikes in the areas of Veterinarnoye and Granovo, Kharkiv Oblast. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of over 20 populated areas, including Semyenivka, Chernihiv Oblast; Volna Slaboda, Svarkove, Stebne, Basyvka, Mogrytsia, Pokrovka, and Oleksandrivka, Sumy Oblast, and Horynko Zaporozhian, Granovo, Vovchanske, Bochkove, Budarky, Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk axis, our soldiers steadfastly hold the defense. The enemy delivered an air strike in the area of Novoselivskiy, Luhansk Oblast. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy was suffered by Krassne Prishele, Dvorychna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Kislivka, Berestove, Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area south of Dybrove, Luhansk Oblast. Delivered air strikes in the areas of Bihorivka, Luhansk Oblast and Seredyno, Sporny, Kuzminyky, Donetsk Oblast. Artillery shelling was suffered by populated areas Novoske, Luhansk Oblast and Toriske, Verkhnyokamianskoye, Sporny, Rozdolyvka, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut axis, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas east of Stupochok and near Dilyivka. The enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Klyshchivka, Predtechinoye, and Dilyivka, Donetsk Oblast. Over 10 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery shelling, among them Vasylkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bogdanivka, Ivanivske, Chasyv Yar, Pivnichne, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiyivka axis, under heavy air and artillery fire from the enemy, our defenders successfully repelled attacks in the area of Avdiyivka. At the same time, the enemy carried out artillery shelling of over 10 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Lastochkine, Vodyane, and Karlivka, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Marinka axis, Forces of Defense continue to hold back the Russian advance in the area of the city of Mariinka. The enemy delivered air strikes near Nevelskoye and Krasnogorivka. Artillery shelling was suffered by populated areas Krasnogorivka, Maximiliano, Georgiyevka, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy delivered air strikes in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Zolotoy Niva, Makarivka, Donetsk Oblast. Conducted shelling of over 10 populated areas, including Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka, Velika Novosilka, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson axes, the enemy concentrates its efforts to prevent further advance of our forces. Delivered air strikes in the areas of Novodarivka, Levadnoye, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhovo, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Artillery shelling was suffered by over 30 populated areas, including Novoandriyivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychnoye, Stebnoye, Lobkove, and Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Dudchany, Berislav, Kozatske, Molodyzhne, Antonivka, Komishany, Kizomys, Stanislav, Kherson Oblast.

Due to the effect of international sanctions, real problems are arising for Russian occupiers in arming, especially with military aircraft. At the «Khanskaya» airbase on the territory of the RF, retraining lasting six months has begun for crews of Tu-22M3 aircraft pilots to Tu-95MS — these are strategic bombers-cruise missile carriers used by Russian terrorists against Ukraine's territory. The main reason for this retraining is problems with extending the flight readiness of Tu-22M3 aircraft, most of which have onboard systems that have reached their service life. New components Russia cannot buy abroad, and they themselves stopped producing such parts long ago. Therefore, these planes can no longer be safely operated.

The aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered nine strikes in areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment are concentrated over the past day. Also, our defenders destroyed an enemy helicopter Ka-52, five unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) of type «Shahed-136», and two tactical reconnaissance UAVs.

Units of rocket forces and artillery during the day hit areas where live troops, weapons, and military equipment are concentrated, seven artillery systems on firing positions, two radio electronic warfare stations, and two air defense missile complexes of the enemy.

In total, Ukrainian soldiers liquidated 460 Russian occupiers over the past day. They destroyed three Russian tanks, five armored combat vehicles, 22 artillery systems, three anti-aircraft weapons systems, shot down one Russian Ka-52 helicopter, and also our troops destroyed 16 tactical-level UAVs, 17 cars, and five units of special equipment.
