Today, on July 25 in Slovak Košice, the match between "Dnipro-1" and Greek "Panathinaikos" in the second qualifying round of the Champions League will mark the start of Ukraine's European Cup season for 2023/2024.

We remind you that according to our association, based on the 12th place in UEFA coefficients for spring 2022, five clubs will represent us on the international stage.

The champion of Ukraine, "Shakhtar," was initially scheduled to start in the Champions League play-off round. However, due to Russia's disqualification and the victory of a club that simultaneously qualified for the Champions League through its national league (Manchester City won the title), the miners received an immediate pass to the group stage.

The runner-up, "Dnipro-1," entered the second qualifying round of the Champions League. To reach the Champions League group stage, they need to overcome three opponents. Their first opponent is Greek "Panathinaikos." If successful, our club will face French "Marseille" in the third qualifying round. In case of failure at any stage, "Dnipro-1" will move to the Europa League, but only if it manages to defeat one opponent in the Champions League qualification process.

The bronze medalist of the Ukrainian Premier League, "Zorya," will represent Ukraine in the Europa League play-off round. In case of failure, our club will automatically move to the group stage of the Conference League.

In the basic register of the Conference League, the country has two delegates. The fourth team of the Ukrainian Premier League ("Dynamo") starts in the third qualifying round, while the fifth ("Vorskla")—in the second. Thus, our teams need to overcome one or two opponents respectively to enter the main draw of the Conference League.

"Shakhtar" (Donetsk) starts in the group stage.

"Dnipro-1" (Dnipropetrovsk) starts in the second qualifying round.

Opponent — "Panathinaikos" (Greece), matches — July 25 and August 1.

Europa League

"Zorya" (Luhansk) starts in the play-off round of qualification.

Draw — August 7, matches — August 24 and 31.

Conference League

"Dynamo" (Kyiv) starts in the third qualifying round.

Opponent — "Ararat-Armenia"/"Aris" (Greece), matches — August 10 and 17.

"Vorskla" (Poltava) starts in the second qualifying round.

Opponent — "Dila Gori" (Georgia), matches — July 27 and August 3.
