President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine and honoring soldiers who recently demonstrated their utmost bravery and effectiveness.

"I wish good health to all Ukrainians!

Today we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine. The 33rd out of many such anniversaries that Ukraine still has ahead, a free Ukraine.

Our state will never renounce its sovereignty. This is now clear to everyone in the world. And no matter what kind of Russian terror there may be, we know that Ukrainian freedom will be preserved and will prevail.

Every year Ukraine will become stronger and help other free nations preserve their sovereignty and build common security. Ukraine can do this. Thanks to the fact that the lines and words from our fundamental state documents are confirmed by the strength and resolve of our people. Millions of Ukrainians and Ukrainian women for whom the freedom of our country is their personal freedom. By respecting Ukrainian freedom, Ukrainian sovereignty, and Ukrainian power, we always honor our heroes. Different people who fought and fight for Ukraine and to whom we owe our freedom.

Today I want to especially highlight soldiers who in recent days and weeks have demonstrated the utmost of their bravery and effectiveness for Ukraine.

Soldier Oleksandr Shulha, tank battalion mechanic-driver of the 33rd separate mechanized brigade. Thank you, Oleksandr, for your courage and saving the lives of the crew!

Soldier Oleksandr Levchenko, commander of a Bradley fighting vehicle in the 47th separate mechanized brigade. Thank you, Oleksandr, for your brave combat work and destruction of the enemy!

Soldier Andriy Hovholko, commander of an artillery support detachment in the 79th separate battalion of special forces. Thank you, Andrii, for accuracy and such needed results on the battlefield!

Major Tetiana Khumelya, 110th separate territorial defense brigade — thank you, Tetiana, for quality logistics and professional service!

Sergeant Oleksandr Olijko, 3rd separate assault brigade, commander of a machine gun detachment. Thank you for your courage and accuracy, Oleksandr!

Junior Sergeant Vladyslav Datskyi — also in the 3rd separate assault brigade, head sergeant of an assault platoon. Thank you for strength, Vladyslave!

Senior Lieutenant Ihor Dykun, Hero of Ukraine, commander of a reconnaissance battalion in the 5th separate assault brigade. A true exemplary Ukrainian soldier. Thank you, Ihor!

Lieutenant Oleksandr Kovalenko, Hero of Ukraine, commander of the second assault company in the 24th separate "Aidar" assault battalion. Thank you, Oleksandr!

Senior soldier Maxim Shevtsov, soldier Andriy Khmelivskyi, junior sergeant Bohdan Maksymov. All three — soldiers of our glorious "eighty," the 80th separate battalion of special forces. I thank you, soldiers!

Senior Lieutenant Yevhenii Martynenko and soldier Oleksandr Dudun — soldiers of the 57th separate mechanized brigade named after the Cossack ataman Kostya Gordiienko. Thank you to you, boys! Thank you for Ukrainian power!

Senior Lieutenant Oleg Spichak and junior sergeant Serhii Sarkisyan — soldiers of the 123rd separate territorial defense brigade. I thank you for daily bravery and daily military ingenuity in countering Russian DPGs!

Lieutenant Commander Mykola Sopko and senior non-commissioned officer Serhii Tarasov — soldiers of the 73rd Marine Center for Special Operations. Thank you for very significant combat results!

Always in the fight for freedom — every contribution is valuable. Ukraine is proud of its heroes! Ukraine is proud of you! Glory to you, soldiers!

And, of course, I thank all Air Force servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — pilots, anti-aircraft gunners, mobile artillery group fighters. Everyone and every woman who protects Ukrainian skies. Thank you for each shot down Russian missile! We have already shown that there are no Russian missiles that Ukrainians cannot shoot down. And when Ukraine's air shield becomes strong enough — it will be! — Ukraine will ensure real freedom and security for all of Europe from Russian terror. The safety of our continent begins here with the sovereignty and power of Ukraine.
