The FIFA Council adopted several decisions regarding the timelines of various major tournaments for club and youth national teams, as well as futsal and beach soccer teams at its meeting.

According to a FIFA official statement, the United States will host the new expanded Club World Cup in 2025. The tournament will feature 32 teams.  

To ensure additional consultations with all interested parties, the FIFA Council agreed to postpone the official start of the bidding process for the 2030 World Cup. The tender regulations will be finalized in September/October 2023. The designation of the host or hosts for the 2030 World Cup will take place at the FIFA Congress in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The next decision by the FIFA Council was to approve the regulations for the qualifying tournament for the 2026 Club World Cup, which will begin in September 2023. Also designated were: Indonesia as organizer of the 2023 U-17 Club World Championship, Colombia as organizer of the 2024 WU-20 (women's) Club World Championship, Dominican Republic as organizer of the 2024 WU-17 (girls') Club World Championship and Uzbekistan as organizer of the 2024 futsal Club World Championship. The dates for these respective competitions will be confirmed later.

Furthermore, the FIFA Council decided to reschedule the dates of the 12th Beach Soccer World Cup, which is set to take place in the United Arab Emirates, from November 16-26, 2023 to February 15-25, 2024.
