Head coach of the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team, Yuriy Klimenko, spoke about the tasks facing the team at the III European Games.

At the European Games in Poland, the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team will play in Group B alongside Spain and Italy. The coach of the blue-and-yellow team, Yuriy Klimenko, shared his expectations for the tournament.

"The task set by the coaching staff for the games in Poland is to win medals at the European Games. It will be quite difficult to achieve this goal because we have encountered very strong and skilled opponents in our group. However, we are also going with a good team composition, so we will make every effort to reach our goal. 

Regarding preparation for the tournament, we are satisfied with the dedication of the girls and many trainings. The only, but unfortunately significant drawback is that not all players could be involved in the training camp in Kyiv and work on team interaction in fours. Only eight girls managed to gather in Ukraine, while another four will join us directly in Poland. 

But we still have two trainings in Tarnów, so we hope to make up for everything that was not done during the Kyiv training camp," — said Yuriy Klimenko.

At the III European Games, the coaching staff of the Ukrainian team expects to have 12 players.

As a reminder, the beach soccer tournaments at the III European Games will take place from June 27 to July 1 in Tarnów.

According to the tournament rules, women's teams will play a round-robin format at the group stage. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The winners will compete for 5th and 6th places.
