Like for several of his teammates in the Ukraine national team, Victor Cyganov's club season as a half-back for Spanish "Girona" can be boldly divided into two parts.

The first part was spent by one of the main stars of our national team's February matches against Germany, North Macedonia, and Malta with Kyiv's "Dynamo". Before his January departure to Spain, Cyganov managed to play 23 games for the Ukrainian club, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.

It seemed that moving to another country, league, and team would require some adjustment period. However, our young man started winning over the hearts of "Girona" fans literally from his first match.

Coach Michel, it seems, felt Cyganov's enthusiasm. In the end, this combination brought Victor 19 La Liga appearances, three goals, six assists, decent press coverage, and affection from Catalan club supporters.
