President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the need for international support for that part of Kherson Oblast where occupiers are currently present, and about the obvious progress in the coalition of modern destroyers and training our pilots.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Today's report. First - talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Weapons and ammunition. There is a defensive package, including the important 155mm caliber. The coalition of modern destroyers and training our pilots — there is obvious progress. NATO movement — regarding this, there are results today as well.

I am grateful both to Mr. Prime Minister personally, and to all Canadians for their unwavering and unequivocal support of our freedom.

We thoroughly discussed the consequences of the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Station. Canada is among those who can help us recover after this catastrophe. We understand each other in the steps that are needed, and they need to be taken very urgently.

Of course, we did not stand aside from the storm that Canada is currently experiencing.

Mass forest fires, enormous natural losses and a threat to people… Ukraine is ready to help with fire extinguishing if Canada needs such international assistance.

Our sense of international relations lies precisely in the fact that we must care for each other always when support is needed. And actually provide it.

I am convinced, this will become global principles. Mutual action, mutual support, mutual strength.

Now, unfortunately, we see that at some levels in the world there is simply a shameful indifference to eco-cide and human tragedy caused by the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Station.

When international organizations that are supposed to protect life globally fail even within a week to form and dispatch a rescue mission to occupied territory, when some world subjects do not dare to come out with clear and strong statements condemning this latest Russian war crime, terrorists simply get emboldened by this weakness of the world, this indifference — it encourages them. And we must overcome this. And will.

We press and urge for international organizations and support to be present in that part of Kherson Oblast where occupiers are currently present.

As of now, on the territory of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, over 3 thousand people have already been evacuated. But still — this is only free territory, under our control.

On occupied territories, only in some areas it is possible to help people — Russian terrorists do everything to make the number of victims as large as possible. Russian shelling continues — even evacuation points are targeted. No real help for people in flooded areas — not for propaganda, but for people — Russia does not provide…

For all this, there must be a separate just and strict responsibility of the Russian state and Russian leadership.

And international organizations should work where we have not yet deoccupied our territories. Every life is important — all Kherson Oblast, all south. Every city and village. We will do everything possible and impossible to ensure help reaches all of our people.

I thank each of our rescuers, military and police, local communities and international organizations working in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions now, all our volunteers — everyone who is helping to save lives, animals, and life in general in the disaster zone. Thank you to journalists spreading the truth and telling the world stories of those affected.

Thank you to everyone helping people after Russian rocket strikes and Iranian "Shaheds". Odessa… My condolences to relatives whose lives were taken last night by Russian terror… Over 20 injured. Help is being provided to all.

As every day — thank you to our soldiers. To everyone and everyone on the front lines, at positions, on combat posts and missions. Who destroys the enemy on land and protects our sky. Thank you to everyone holding positions and advancing forward. "Khortytsia", "Tavria" — thank you every one of our heroes!

Maximum efforts to return peace as soon as possible to all of our country, every city, every village, every corner of Ukraine.

Glory to Ukraine!"
