President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the feats of soldiers who defend our cities from Russian terror and the need for personal gratitude to each of our defenders.

"I wish good health, dear Ukrainians!

Almost every day in such addresses I thank our soldiers — specific units, specific brigades, which have distinguished themselves the most on the front or in the defense of our sky over a day or a week.

And today — a more personal gratitude to specific soldiers.

We must remember all that our defense, our active actions and Ukraine's independence — is not something abstract. It is very concrete people, concrete actions of concrete heroes, thanks to whom Ukraine is and will remain Ukraine. Thousands upon thousands of the strongest, bravest, most effective of our people…

Such as soldier Yaroslav Kan, our paratrooper. Fought in the hottest spots on the front line. Bilohorivka, defense of Lysychansk, defense of Soledar. Battles for Svatove, Kremenchuk, Bakhmut… Four injuries! Currently undergoing treatment and recovering. And ready to return to the frontline again. This is an extraordinary strength of a person! Thank you, Yaroslav!

Senior Sergeant Yevgen Kepsha, commander of a platoon anti-tank missile system unit. Battles for Bakhmut. "Stugna" ATGMs. Very effective and very brave. Together with the boys, together with his comrades from his squad — excellent results in destroying occupiers. Thank you for that, Yevgen!

Senior Sergeant Maxim Kuzmenko and Junior Sergeant Anton Andrushchenko — soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Battles on the Avdiivka axis. Very tough battles. Constant enemy assaults. And such a necessary result for Ukraine in defending our positions. Thank you, boys!

I have already thanked many times our soldiers from the 55th Artillery Brigade "Zaporizhzhia Sich". Boys — all great. Fighting very powerfully and effectively. And today I especially highlight an artillery battery under the command of Captain Mykola Nosach. Avdiivka axis. Very skillfully cutting off Russian assaults. Exactly what is needed. Thank you, Mykola! It's very pleasant to see reports about your effectiveness.

Soldiers of our 128th Separate Mountain-Storm Brigade "Zakarpattia". Battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Gladyshev, battery commander Captain Rostislav Kmet', platoon commander Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr Shytykov, gun commander Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Krystapuk, senior navigator Senior Soldier Yaroslav Nyul… Artillery crews. Always effective. Thank you all!

Our glorious 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrogradsky. By the results of almost every day's battles, boys deserve gratitude. And today I want to highlight separately the entire 1st battalion of marines of the brigade. Thank you each and every one of you! Your strength is an example for all.

And defenders of our sky. Such as soldier Anatoliy Pavlenko, National Guard member. Anti-aircraft missile battery "Burivy". A boy who can incredibly effectively shoot down Russian missiles — even just using the Igla MANPADS. Thank you for this effectiveness!

Usually we thank soldiers defending our cities from Russian terror with powerful air defense systems such as Patriots, Nasamis, Iriuses and others. And that is absolutely justified — they have saved a lot of lives of our people, a lot of infrastructure objects.

However, important — and effective! — are also the soldiers of our mobile fire groups who cover various civilian and military facilities. Such as Senior Sergeant Viktor Sidnev — commander of one such mobile group working for Kyiv's defense. Excellent coordination of actions, excellent combat skills. And there is a result — minus enemy rockets. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who fights for Ukraine! Thank you to everyone on combat posts and in combat missions! Thank you to everyone who constantly trains our soldiers, and to all who treat our heroes after injuries!

And I ask all of you: please do not forget to personally thank our soldiers. Those whom you know personally. Those whom you may just follow on social media. Those about whom you have heard and can tell other Ukrainians, our people. Gratitude is always important, and it's important to hear that someone is grateful when you fight so hard for your nation.
