The main showdown in the playoffs stretched to a maximum five games as opponents exchanged two wins. In the decisive match in Ivano-Frankivsk, "HIT" emerged victorious — 3:2. By overcoming the reigning double champion of Ukraine, Kyiv's team won its first gold medals in history.
