President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about the preparation of new defense packages for our country and the development of programs to restore territory and Ukrainian life after the end of hostilities.

Briefly on today's day, about our actions.

Our international bloc is very actively working with partners to prepare new defense packages for Ukraine. New decisions are already at the working level. More protection for our sky, more opportunities for our defense and movement on land. I held several meetings today where we discussed all this. And we expect corresponding steps from partners in the near future.

We never forget for a moment that every day of the occupier's presence on our land is an enticement for him to think he might succeed. He will not succeed! We must restore freedom, security and Europe to all Ukrainian land — to all European land. We will do it! We will leave no enemy any piece of our land — nowhere tyranny will reign. And I thank the leader-partners, all state partners, each one who helps us strengthen our power and make Ukraine's defense even more active.

I held a fairly substantive meeting with officials today regarding programs to restore our territory and Ukrainian life after combat operations and war in general. We are working on all aspects of restoration, and every aspect — in a new secure format. Economy and industry, defense industry, energy, infrastructure, education sector, social sphere, healthcare, including the rehabilitation component… Everything that needs to be built, what the world is ready to invest in, what will give Ukraine and Ukrainians reliable security and confident development of our social capital.

Now, during May, we will finalize specific points of these state programs, and already in June we will start practical work with partners on our plans. Regarding both the reconstruction here and now — critical systems, as well as the strategic transformation of our country. I am confident that our reconstruction project will give a boost to the development of at least our entire region — following Ukraine, and all our partners who will cooperate with Ukraine.

Here, in Ukraine, the world will see what Europe is capable of. Here, in us, in Ukraine, there will be maximum Europe in Europe — the maximum possible from what European values are capable of, and what European and global cooperation can achieve.

Step by step based on the resources we have now, we implement programs for the current restoration of our country. In particular, today the state service "eRestoration" was launched. This is support for people who need to repair houses or apartments after war damage. We already received a significant number of applications in "Diia". Overall, it concerns hundreds of thousands of damaged objects. Moreover, we have to work on this task regarding those of our people who managed to restore the damaged housing by their own efforts. Equality in aid — is very important, and an appropriate algorithm is needed. The next step will be compensation for lost housing. And that will happen.

Of course, throughout the day I communicated with our commanders, with intelligence leaders. Situation on the front line – the obvious first priority.

Signed new decrees today awarding our soldiers state honors. 10th Separate Mountain-Storm Brigade. 14th, 28th, 53rd, 59th and 72nd separate mechanized brigades. 3rd Separate Storm Brigade. 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade. 112th Separate Brigade of TRO. 67th Separate Rifle Battalion. 65th Military Mobile Hospital. This is the Lyman direction, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Avdiivka direction, Shakhtarsk.

Overall today's decrees honored 266 of our defenders and defenderesses. The bravest, most worthy — those whose lives are the life of Ukraine, our beautiful and unbreakable Ukraine.
