To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 06.05.2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred thirty-seventh day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out eight missile strikes, 49 air raids, and conducted 82 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers. Civilians were injured, private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

The likelihood of further missile and aerial strikes on all territories of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka axes — repelled nearly 50 attacks by occupiers. The epicenter of combat actions remains Bakhmut and Mariinka, our defenders are holding their ground.

On the Volyn and Polissya directions, there were no significant changes in the operational situation.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy carried out air strikes on Ivanivtsi, Leonivtsi, Buchaky of Chernihiv Oblast, and Znob-Stubchevsky of Sumy Oblast. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas such as Stara Huta, Baranivka, Tovstodubove, Bachivske, Khodyne, Volfin, Chervona Zorya, Udi, Veterinarnoe, Graniv, Kozacha Lopan', Hopivka, Glibokoye, Lukianets, Neskuchoye, Staritsya of Sumy and Kharkiv Oblasts.

On the Kupyansk direction, artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy affected Bogoliuvka, Krasne Pereche, Figolivka, Novomlynsky, Dvorichna, Liman First, Pishchane, and Stelemahyvka of Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Artillery shelling affected Mykolaivka of Luhansk Oblast and Novosympatne, Yamopolivka, Bihorivka, Verkhnyokamyanske, and Spirene of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations. Battles are ongoing in the city of Bakhmut. Unsuccessfully, occupiers attacked towards Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, and New York. As a result of enemy shelling, Vasukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Marove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pivdenne, Toretsk, Pivnichne, and New York of Donetsk Oblast were affected.

On the Avdiivka direction, yesterday the enemy conducted offensive operations in the area of Avdiivka without success. Shelled Orlyvka, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, Tonenne, Karlivka, Netaylove, and Pervomaiske of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariinka direction, during the past day our soldiers repelled attacks in the area of Mariinka. Enemy shelling also affected Kurakhove, Georgiyivka, Pokyta, Yelizavetivka, Katerinivka, and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, yesterday the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Shelled Shakhterske, Prechystivka, and Vuhledar of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy is defending. Shelled over 40 populated areas. Among them — Burlyatske, Verymivka, Novosilka, Zelenoye Pole, Novopil of Donetsk Oblast; Olhyvsky, Maliynivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychnye, Hulyaypilske, Bilyhor'ya, Mala Tokmachka, Maliy Shcherbaky, Kamianske and Stepanohirsk of Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Nikopol — Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Zolotaya Balka, Dudchani, Veseloye, Dniprovske, Kizomys Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

Ukrainian citizens who refused to obtain a Russian passport are forcibly evicted from their homes by occupiers in the city of Starobilsk. Usually, they come no more than twice. On the third visit, people and their belongings are thrown out onto the street. Even the fact that children under age may live there does not stop the occupiers. After eviction, such citizens end up at filtration points, while their housing is given to Russian occupation army servicemen for settlement.

The aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 10 strikes on areas with enemy personnel and military equipment concentrations during the day. Also shot down five enemy drones of Shahed-136/131 type, two Zala drones, one — "Orlan-10", one — "Kub" and one drone of "Lancet" type.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery during the day hit five areas with enemy weapons and military equipment concentrations, three ammunition depots and pyro-mastic materials, one anti-aircraft defense system and another five important targets of the enemy.

Overall, yesterday our defenders liquidated 560 Russian occupiers, destroyed seven tanks, fourteen armored combat vehicles and fourteen artillery systems. In addition, the enemy lost two multiple rocket launchers, two anti-aircraft defense systems, fourteen tactical drones, twenty cars and two units of special equipment.
