To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 2, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The fourth hundred and third day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out two missile strikes and 30 air raids, conducted over 40 artillery attacks on positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure in populated areas.

Failing to achieve desired results on the battlefield, the enemy continues cynically waging war against peaceful citizens. Russia launched new missile strikes at civilian objects in the cities of Druzhkivka and Avdiivka in Donetsk Oblast, using ballistic missiles. There are casualties among civilians.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes. During the past day, thanks to organized and coordinated actions by units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, as well as the personal courage of each defender, more than 70 enemy attacks were repelled on these axes. The fiercest battles continue in the areas around the populated places of Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol.

On the Volynsky, Polissky, Severny, and Slobozhansky axes, the operational situation — remains unchanged. During the day, the enemy shelled populated places of Karpolychi and Bronivyi in Chernihiv Oblast; Seredyna-Buda, Esman, Sidorovka, Starikove, Stukalivka, Bilyipil'lia, and Sosnyvka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Udy, Veterinarnoe, Zybinoe, Ohrymovka, Krasnoye Pervoye in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk axis, enemy shelling affected populated places of Dvorichna, Kutykivka, Zapadne, Masutyvka, Synkivka, Kupyansk, Pishchane, Khromal'ne, and Novoselivske in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, during the day the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around south of Kreminna and Verkhnyokamyanske. Artillery shelling affected Novoselivske, Nevsko, Dibrova, Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Kolyadyzhye, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolovka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy continues to storm the city of Bakhmut, attempting to take it under full control. Military servicemen of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled over 25 enemy attacks. Also during the past day, our defenders repelled enemy attacks in the areas around populated places of Bogdanivka and Predtekhine. From enemy shelling suffered Vasylkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomar'kovoye, Bakhmut, Bogdanivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kurdyumivka, Zalizne, Dilievka, New York and Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka and Mariupol axes, the enemy conducted offensive actions around populated places of Novokalinove, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, and Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast. He did not succeed. During the past day alone near Mariupol and Avdiivka military servicemen of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled over 20 enemy attacks. At the same time, the enemy shelled Stepanove, Avdiivka, Orlyvka, Tonentsye, Severne, Pervomaiske, Netaylove, Krasnogorivka, Mariupol, Georgiyivka and Prichyste.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy actively used UAVs to correct artillery fire, shelled populated places of Pobeda, Novomikhailivka, Vuhledar, Velika Novosyolka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson axes, the enemy did not conduct active operations, improving defensive lines and positions. He shelled over 40 populated places near the front line. Among them — Olhivske, Poltavka, Sviatopetrovka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka, Novoyakovlivka in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, as well as Khrechenivka, Novoaleksandrivka, Tomaryne, Tyagynka, Tokarivka, Pridniprovske and the city of Kherson in Kherson Oblast.

Russian occupiers continue to commit looting on temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. In particular, in the populated place of Melitopol in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, occupiers are illegally transporting felled timber southward.

In the populated place of Kozatske Lagerye in Kherson Oblast, after a successful artillery strike on an object of Russian occupation forces, the enemy actively conducts checks of mobile phones of local residents and unsanctioned searches of citizens' residences.

Russian occupiers continue to force passportization of the population temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast. In particular, in populated places of Henichesk and Strilochne at checkpoints Russian occupiers limit movement of Ukrainian citizens who have not received passports of Russian Federation citizens. During searches they inform that Ukrainian citizens who do not receive Russian passports will be banned from entering and leaving after the fourth checkpoint crossing. Also, the so-called occupation authorities of Russia with the aim of appropriating property of Ukrainian citizens actively forge documents on ownership rights to residential premises and resorts by falsifying purchase-sale contracts and gifts.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces carried out eight strikes against areas of enemy personnel concentration and military equipment during the past day.

Our defenders also shot down an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle of the "Orlan-10" type.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery struck three areas of enemy manpower, weapons, and military equipment concentration, two ammunition depots of the enemy, and one multiple launch rocket system.
