— We are transiting through Poland to Denmark on March 31st, — said the head coach of our national team Valeriy Palamarzhuk in a comment to the official website of the Ukrainian Football Federation. — There will be twenty football players and eight members of the coaching and administrative staff in the Ukrainian delegation.

— Did you manage to invite all the strongest players in this age category?

— Unfortunately, due to injuries, Ruslana Levchenko from "Kryvbas" and Viktoriya Lavrenyuk from "Veres" will not be able to help. They have been replaced by Veronika Borokhovska from "Ladomir" and Oleksandra Yanieva from the Italian "Parma." By the way, they were born in 2005, and we hope that their accumulated international experience will help them shine in the next selection for the European forum.

— Since, apart from foreign players, most of your wards represent Ukrainian elite clubs, whose season has already resumed, you cannot complain about a lack of playing practice...

— You are right. Considering the matches of the next round that will take place on March 30th, most girls will have three to four official games under their belts. Our players who play abroad have also managed to participate in official matches. By the way, they will travel to Denmark independently.

Unfortunately, unlike our rivals, the Ukrainian team has not gathered this year yet. We hope that we will make good use of the short-term training camp at the beginning of April organized thanks to the support of the Danish Football Association.

— Where will you be stationed in Denmark?

— In the town of Kegel, where we will play our first matches — against Sweden and Denmark. And only in the final round will we face Iceland in Bronshoved.

— Do you have information about your future opponents?

— There is no reason to complain. We have video recordings of all this year's friendly matches of our rivals. Together with my assistants, we have already thoroughly studied and analyzed these recordings, and now it is crucial not to make a mistake in strategy and tactics for the April encounters.

— Our team will have to establish relations with football players from three northern countries that are trying to play in what is called an English style...

— Indeed, future opponents often adopt a physical approach, pressuring intensely and frequently using long aerial passes. That's why it will depend greatly on whether we can outpace our rivals.

— Most experts in their forecasts tend to believe that the sole ticket to the finals of Euro will be decided by the match between hosts and Sweden...

— You know, I adhere more to the view that at the start whistle all participants have equal chances. That's why I'll prepare my wards to demonstrate their best qualities in every game. And the minimum goal for the Ukrainian team is to retain its place in the elite division.
