Semi-defender of the Ukrainian national team Georgiy Sudakov commented on the loss — 0:2 against England's team at "Wembley" in a Euro-2024 qualification match.

"We understood that England is now among the top three national teams in the world. It's hard to play against them, especially — at 'Wembley'. A very difficult game, but we had a plan. We wanted to control the ball as much as possible. It was clear that we needed to play on our strengths, and this is playing with the ball. Something didn't work out, but we gave it 100%. England showed their mastery by scoring two incredible goals.

In the episode where I attempted a shot in the first half, Yaremchuk deflected the ball, and I wanted to take a shot, but there were many opponents. The shot didn't quite work out, and it was blocked.

I played in the Champions League, but for the national team at this level, I haven't yet. This is a new challenge for me. The opponent has a very strong midfield and defenders. It was tough in the center because England is a physically strong team. We had to work with the ball very quickly.

There were both good moments and not so good ones, but we keep our heads up, move forward, and work hard. We see where we need to aim. We work every day and make progress," — said Georgiy Sudakov.
