Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on March 9, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The 379th day of Russia's large-scale invasion is ongoing.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions.

Our soldiers repelled more than 110 attacks by them yesterday.

The enemy continues to violate international humanitarian law, carries out strikes, conducts artillery shelling of civilian objects and buildings of the peaceful population, and attempts to destroy critical infrastructure of our state.

Last night, the adversary delivered a massive missile strike on critical infrastructure targets in Ukraine.

It launched 81 missile launches of various types:

— 28 launches of air-based cruise missiles X-101/X-555;

— 20 launches of sea-based cruise missiles "Kalibr";

— six launches of air-based cruise missiles X-22;

— six launches of air-based cruise missiles Kh-47 "Kinjal";

— eight launches of guided aviation rockets: two — Kh-31P; six — X-59;

— 13 launches of S-300 air defense missiles.

In addition, eight launches of Shahed-136/131 attack drones were carried out.

With the forces and means of the Air Force 3S of Ukraine, in coordination with units of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, from 48 cruise missiles X-101/X-555 and "Kalibr", 34 cruise missiles were destroyed as well as four Shahed-136/131 drones.

As a result of organized countermeasures, eight guided aviation rockets Kh-31P and X-59 did not reach their targets.

During the previous day, the adversary delivered 25 air strikes, two missile strikes, as well as carried out 32 shelling with multiple rocket launchers.

On the Volynsky, Polissky, Severny, and Slobozhansky directions, formations of offensive groupings were not detected. At the same time, the enemy shelled areas of populated places Senkivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Kharkivka and Ahtinske in Sumy Oblast, as well as Strilecha, Terneva, Vylcha, Kamianka, Dvorichna, and Holubivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated places Grynykivka, Sprine, and Bihorivka. Carried out artillery shelling of more than 15 populated places. Among them — Vilszana, Kupyansk, Kislivka, Pershotravneve, Pishchane, and Chernencha in Kharkiv Oblast; Stelmakhivka, Nevske, and Cherwonopilovka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Novoselivka, Kolodyazi, Dibrova, Berestove, Yampele, Severne, Rozdolivka, and Yagidne in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction, occupiers do not cease assault actions towards the city of Bakhmut. Our defenders repelled attacks in areas of populated places Orilhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, and Oleksandro-Shultine. Enemy shelling was experienced by more than 10 populated places, including Zaliznyanske, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Kostyantynivka, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Dilievka, Druzhba, New York and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the adversary carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated places Kamianka, Severne, Pereomaiske, Nevelske, Novomykhailivka, Marinka, and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast. Enemy shelling was experienced by areas of more than 20 populated places. Among them — Oleksandropil, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pereomaiske, Karlivka, Georgiyivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Niva, Velika Novosyilka, Nevelske, Krasnogorivka, Pobeda, Prechystivka and Neskuchne in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the adversary is defending. Shelling was experienced by areas of more than 30 populated places. Among them — Vremivka, Novosyilka, and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Bihorija, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka, Kamianske, Temirovka, Olgivske, Chervone, Staroukraina, Charivne and Novoandriyivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as Zmiyivka, Veseloye, Mykolaivka, Olgivka, L'vove, Poniativka, Mikhilske, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Dniprovskoe, Kachkarivka, Chervoniy Mayak, Tyaginka, Tokarivka and Fedorivka in Kherson Oblast.

According to previous information, the Russian armed forces have already almost used up their entire stock of artillery ammunition stored on warehouses in central Russia. Currently, there is an observed movement onto the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine of ammunition from other regions of Russia. This significantly increases delivery times. Also, there are observations of unsatisfactory condition and quality of new batches of ammunition due to improper storage and violation of service rules. Almost 50% of them have visible signs of rust damage. In conditions of intensive conduct of combat operations and the current unsatisfactory state of ammunition, a shortage is expected in artillery units of the Russian army within the next two to three months.

The aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes on areas of personnel and military equipment concentration of the occupiers and struck an enemy air defense missile system position.

And our rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage to two areas of personnel concentration and delivered fire strikes against a command post of one of the Russian army units.

Overall, yesterday Ukrainian soldiers liquidated 590 Russian occupiers, destroyed five tanks, thirteen armored combat vehicles, two artillery systems, an air defense system, a vehicle, and a unit of special equipment.
