On Thursday, March 2nd, the Ukraine e-football team in the FIFA discipline conducted their first matches of the third qualifying week for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023.

This is the final game week for the blue and yellow team in the play-in round, which has been ongoing since December 2022 and takes place in a 2vs2 format using FIFA 23 on the PS5 platform.

Oleksandr CIG Grishay Gryshai and Andriy CIG ST92 Shakalov, representing Ukraine at these competitions, started their game day with a loss to Switzerland's team — 1:3.

In the next match, blue and yellow secured a convincing victory over cyber football players from Georgia — 4:2. However, this success turned out to be the only one for our players, who unexpectedly failed in the second half of their game day.

Against Poland, Ukrainians scored zero goals on penalty kicks and were unable to come back into the game, conceding two more times from their opponents. And against Greece's team, a series of defensive errors by the Ukrainian side led to a loss with a score of 4:6.

Thus, the first day of the third qualifying week saw Ukraine's team finish in fifth place in the group with three points.

Tomorrow, the Ukrainian team will play their return matches and try to recover from their disappointing start in order to earn more ranking points for a higher position in the main qualifying round of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023.
