To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on February 27, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred sixty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The Russian Federation continues its full-scale military aggression against Ukraine. It is concentrating its efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions. Over the past day, our defenders repelled 81 attacks by occupiers in these areas.

The enemy is attempting to destroy critical infrastructure of our state, continues to inflict strikes, carry out artillery shelling of civilian objects and buildings inhabited by peaceful residents. The adversary constantly conducts aerial reconnaissance for correcting its strikes.

Over the past day, Russia carried out five missile and 13 air strikes, two of which — using drones of the "Shahed-136" type against civilian infrastructure. Both drones were shot down. The enemy also conducted more than 50 shelling with multiple rocket launchers, including on civilian infrastructure in Kherson Oblast and Donetsk Oblast. There are fatalities and injuries among peaceful civilians, destroyed civilian buildings and damaged objects of civil infrastructure. The level of threat posed by Russia's missile strikes remains high across the entire territory of Ukraine.

On the Volynsky, Polesky, Severny, and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation — no significant changes. The adversary continues to maintain military presence near the border of Ukraine, but signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected. The enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling in the areas of Hryniivka and Katerynivka villages in Chernihiv Oblast; Gorky, Atinskye, Stukalivka, Hryine, Pavlivka, Volvino villages in Sumy Oblast, as well as Veterinarnoe, Chervona Zoria, Strilechya, Staritsa, Vovchan'skyy Khutori, Chernyaki, Loshevoe, Krasnoye Perechne, Stroyivka, Novomlyn'sky, Dvorichna, Zapadnoye and Kupyansk villages in Kharkiv Oblast. Near Popivki village in Sumy Oblast and Chervona Zoria the enemy used drones with explosive payloads.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the adversary carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Novoselyvskyy, Plyshanka, Bihorivka, Sporny and Berestevo. Enemy artillery shelling was recorded in more than 25 populated areas. Among them — Kup'yansk First and Kurilivka villages in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselyvskoye, Chervonopopivka, Dybrova, Serbryanyy Lesnichestvo, Bihorivka, Sporny, Rozdolyvka and Fedoryvka on the Luhansk region.

On the Bakhmut direction, the adversary continues to attack our troops' positions, carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near populated areas of Dubovo-Vasylivka, Yagidne, Bakhmut, Ivanivske and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast. Over 25 populated areas were shelled, including — Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klyshchyovka, Kurdyumivka, Bila Hora, Ozaranyvka, Stupochki, Zalizne and Pivdenne Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiyivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the adversary carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Kam'yanka, Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Novoel'ske, Krasnogorivka, Mar'inka and Volodar. Conducted artillery shelling on the areas of populated places, including Novobakhmutivky, Avdiyivka, Lastochkino, Pervomayskoye, Novoel'skoye, Krasnogorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Volodar and Vremyvka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya direction , areas of more than 30 populated places were affected by fire. Among them — Vremyvka and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Olhivske, Maliynivka, Chervone, Charivne, Bihor'ya, Novodanylivka, Orykhiv and Novoandriiyivka Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

On the Kherson direction, areas of more than 27 populated places were affected by artillery fire from Russian occupation forces. Among them — Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Lvov, Antonivka, Kherson, Komishany, Blagoveschenskoye, Bilyozerkya, Dniprovskaya and Beregovoe in Kherson Oblast.

The adversary continues to suffer significant losses. Thus, in the area of Bakhmutka in Donetsk Oblast during the period from February 22 to 24, up to 30 bodies of dead and 65 wounded Russian occupation forces servicemen were brought to medical facilities.

Against the backdrop of military successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mass desertion is noted in enemy troops. Considering this, Russian deputy commanders from political work are actively conducting explanatory work among Russian servicemen to prevent desertion. They try to convince occupiers about criminal code articles regarding punishment.

In particular, all the traitors are frightened by the fact that Russian servicemen who have been in a status of voluntary leaving military unit since 2017 received punishment from four to twelve years of deprivation of liberty.

Due to fear of de-occupation of Ukrainian territories in the towns of Oleshky and Skadovsk Kherson Oblast, Russian occupation so-called "administration" is preparing for escape to the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In particular, since February 21 local collaborators have been observed leaving to Bakhchisaray, Simferopol and Kerch, while on February 24 occupiers announced a so-called evacuation for all those wishing.

To transport collaborators the enemy has used military cargo vehicles, only hand luggage was allowed.

Aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out four strikes against areas with personnel and military equipment concentrations of occupiers over the past day. At the same time our defenders destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft.

Subdivisions of rocket troops and artillery during the past day hit ammunition depots and enemy satellite jamming station.
