The UEFA Executive Committee, which includes UAF President Andriy Pavelko, today at its meeting deprived Kazan, Russia of the right to host the 2023 UEFA Super Cup match.

According to the results of today's UEFA Executive Committee meeting, it was decided to move the 2023 UEFA Super Cup match from Russian Kazan to Athens. The game will take place at the "Georgios Karaiskakis" Stadium on August 16.

Commenting on this decision, President of the Ukrainian Football Association and UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelko noted: «Thus, the country-aggressor remains fully isolated from the civilized world where it has no place today. Instead, Athens will host the 2023 Super Cup match, for which I sincerely congratulate our Greek partners. Thankful to my European colleagues for their principled stance towards the aggressor country!»
