Note for your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on January 18, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred twenty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

Six rocket attacks, three of which — on civilian objects in the cities of Kupiansk and Kramatorsk, as well as 14 air strikes were carried out by the enemy over the past day. Additionally, he conducted 95 shelling with multiple launch rocket systems.

The threat of Russian Federation carrying out air and missile strikes on civilian objects remains high across all of Ukraine's territory.

Main efforts of the enemy are focused on conducting an offensive operation along the Bakhmut direction. He is also making unsuccessful offensive actions along the Avdiivka direction.

Thus, units of the Territorial Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Syl', Krasna Gora, Bakhmut, Klyshchyvka, Vodyane, Novele'ske, Mariinka, and Pobedy in Donetsk.

On the Volynian, Polissian, Northern, and Slobozhans'k directions the situation remains unchanged. No advance groups of the enemy were detected near Ukraine's border regions. The Republic of Belarus continues to support Russian military aggression; joint training exercises of the air component of the regional grouping of Russian and Belarusian armed forces are ongoing at their airports and in airspace.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are taking measures to prevent provocations or sabotage actions from the enemy's side, strengthening anti-aircraft defense.

Over the past day, the enemy continued to carry out artillery and mortar shelling along the entire line of contact. Shelling was suffered by areas of populated places in Mykolaivka in Chernihiv region; Rivne, Atynske, Iskriskyshchyna, and Novodmitrivka in Sumy region, as well as Veterinarnoe, Krasnoe, Lukiancy, Nesukhne, Staritsya, Hatriche, Vovchan'sk, Ribal'kyne, Bilyi Kolodyazh, Nesterne, Zemlyanka, Novomlyn'sk, Bogolyvka, Kam'yanka, and Dvorichna in Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk direction, areas of Kislivky, Berestovo, Kotliarivka, Vishnevoe, Ivanivka in Kharkiv region, as well as Novoselivske, Stehl'makhivka and Andriyivka in Luhansk region suffered artillery fire.

On the Lyman direction, enemy shelled with all available ground weapons areas of populated places of Makieivka, Ploschanka, Nevsko'e, Chernopopovka, Kreminna, Dibrova in Luhansk region and Terny, Yamopol'ivka in Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut direction, areas of Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirene, Viymaka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Soltar, Krasna Gora, Paraskevivka, Bakhmut, Klyshchyvka, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Druzhba, Zalizne and New York in Donetsk region suffered enemy artillery fire.

On the Avdiivka direction, areas of Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pereymayske, Novele'ske, Georgiyivka, Mariinka, and Novomikhaylivka in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

On the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy shelled with artillery and mortars areas of Vuhledar, Mykolys'kye Dachi, and Prechystivtsi in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, over ten populated places suffered from artillery fire, including Veremivka and Novopil in Donets'k region and Temriyivka, Shcherbaki, Stepole, Kam'yanske, and Plavni in Zaporizhzhia.

On the Kherson direction, occupiers continue to terrorize the peaceful population. Mortar and artillery shelling, including Antonivka and Kherson, affected civilian people.

Due to a small number of collaborators, oppressors are forced to bring officials from the Russian Federation to perform administrative functions in the occupation regime on temporarily occupied territories. Moreover, there is a shortage of workers in various sectors because local residents do not want to cooperate with occupiers. Therefore, Russians are trying to bring in workers from Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea.

Our aviation carried out 12 strikes against enemy concentrations during the day, as well as four strikes on positions of his air defense systems. In addition, near Soltar, anti-aircraft troops destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft.

Units of rocket forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit two command points, five areas of concentration of oppressors, ammunition depot, radar station, and REB station over the day.
