The Ternopil region has joined the Ukrainian Football Association project "Inclusive Football Sections". The first cycle of the project, consisting of 20 sessions in Ternopil at the Ternopil Educational and Rehabilitation Center (trainer Natalia Baranyuk), was completed.

On one of the last sessions of the section, Saint Nicholas visited. The children were delighted with his gifts and proudly demonstrated everything they had learned during their football lessons.

In addition to Ternopil, an inclusive football section is being organized in Zboriv at the Zboriv Lyceum (trainer Ruslan Yushchyshyn).

We remind you that before the start of the project, coaches underwent special training at a seminar organized by the UFA.

The regional coordinator for the project from the Ternopil Football Association was Vasyl Zatorsky.

This project within the UEFA Grassroots Charter aims to:

— improve the psycho-emotional and physical state of children through their involvement in physical activities and socialization;

— change Ukrainian society's attitude towards people with disabilities;

— provide access to inclusive sports training;

— unlock the potential of children;

— unite children and adults, regardless of physical or mental development.

Inclusive football sections, which are open to children with special educational needs, have been established in 21 communities across Ukraine. Thanks to the UFA, these sections are equipped with football uniforms for children, balls, and necessary sports equipment.
