On Thursday, December 15, the Ukraine e-football team in the FIFA discipline began their participation in the qualification for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023.

The blue-and-yellow team started in the first qualifying round (play-in), with matches taking place in a 2vs2 format on the PS5 platform and running from December 2022 to March 2023.

Oleksandr CIG Grishay Gryshai and Andriy CIG ST92 Shakalov, representing Ukraine in these competitions, began their game day with a confident victory over Belgium — 3:0.

The mood of Ukrainian esports players was dampened by their Swiss opponents, who inflicted our boys' only defeat at the start of the tournament — 2:5.

But after that, Ukraine dominated in matches against teams from Greece and Georgia, resulting in ten goals scored against their opponents.

Thus, the first day of the opening game week saw the Ukrainian team finish at the top position in Division 2 of Conference 3 with nine points.

Already on Friday, it will be known whether Ukrainian esports players can advance to Division 1, where they will compete for spots in the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 playoffs. To do this, our players need to secure one of the top two positions in their group.
