President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about preparations for new decisions to prevent any possibility of Russia manipulating internal life in Ukraine, and about a resolution by the Bundestag that recognizes the Holodomor as genocide against Ukrainians.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Today I held another meeting of the General Staff.

The main issues - Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions, Crimea, frontline territories and our state border. We analyze the occupiers' intentions and prepare countermeasures - even stronger ones than now.

We reviewed questions of military supply and provision of new equipment and ammunition.

Separately I held a meeting on energy and communications issues. We are fixing the results of what has already been done to protect our systems. Preparing new solutions.

We also prepare new solutions to prevent any possibility of Russia manipulating internal life in Ukraine. Details will be provided later.

As of this evening, nearly 6 million subscribers across most regions of our country and Kyiv have been cut off from electricity.

The situation remains very difficult especially in the capital, as well as in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy oblasts.

Energy workers and communal services, all our services are doing everything to stabilize the system and give people more electricity for longer periods. And I would like to emphasize again: it is very important that people understand when and for how long they will be without electricity.

This is the responsibility of both energy companies and local authorities. People have a right to know. And as much as possible now, there should be predictability in life. People see different rules regarding lighting in neighboring houses or on nearby streets. There must be fairness and clarity.

Today we have two very important international news.

Canada successfully completed the placement of special bonds - support bonds for Ukraine. The amount is 500 million Canadian dollars.

In fact, Canada takes this loan on itself to help our country. The funds will go into Ukraine's state budget.

Thank you to our Canadian friends and personally to Mr Justin Trudeau and Ms Chrystia Freeland for this demonstration of Canadian leadership.

Leadership that shows other partners what can be effective now in supporting Ukraine.

And news from Germany.

The Bundestag voted to adopt a resolution recognizing the Holodomor as genocide against the Ukrainian people. This is a decision for justice, for truth. And it is a very important signal to many other countries in the world that Russian revanchism will not succeed in rewriting history.

Another German decision, which undoubtedly will become historic - transferring Ukraine's Patriot system - and Mr Chancellor Scholz, as well as all generations of contemporary German politicians, will be thanked by all generations of Ukrainians.

Glory to everyone who defends Ukraine!

Thank you to everyone who helps our country!

Glory to Ukraine!"
