Today in Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team started their participation in the prestigious Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2022 tournament.

In the first match of the competition, blue-and-yellow Ukraine, led by captain Yuliya Deychtyar due to the absence of head coach Yuriy Klimenko for family reasons, faced the fourth-ranked team in the world BSWW — Brazil.

The Ukrainians arrived at the tournament with an incomplete squad, so their task today was not easy. Despite this, our girls looked very respectable against a top opponent.

In the first period, they even managed to open the score, but goalkeeper Anastasiia Teresh's shot hit the crossbar. On the other hand, Brazil took advantage of their chance and on the 7th minute Tainã scored in our goal.

In the second 12-minute period, there was an even battle without any goals being scored. In the third period, Anastasiia Vipasnyak had a chance to equalize, but once again the crossbar intervened. Instead, Tainã scored another powerful goal.

Thus, 0-2 — a loss for Ukraine's team, who will face England tomorrow.
