Today, on October 19, the women's national team of Ukraine in futsal began their journey in the main round of qualification for Euro-2023, where their group 2 opponents are Poland, Croatia, and the winner of Group A from the previous round, which were the Netherlands. They played their opening match against them. It should be noted that Ukraine was initially supposed to host the mini-tournament, but due to Russian aggression, UEFA rescheduled the group matches to Poland.

The day before the main round matches, Oleksandr Shaytanov's wards conducted a training camp in the Polish city of Miedzyzdroje, which began on October 12. After that, our team traveled to Poznan, where they faced the Netherlands today.

The Ukrainians quickly gained an advantage thanks to Titova's double. First, Yulia after a pass from Forsyk cut into the center from the left flank and outmaneuvered the goalkeeper, then she finished off a counterattack that she herself had initiated.

For quite some time our team maintained their lead, and on the 25th minute, Forsyk scored the third goal by intercepting the ball in her own half and making a solo run to finish it. Later, Titova assisted Ruban, who put away the goalkeeper from close range. Then Kislava took advantage of an opponent's mistake during five-on-five play and directed the ball into an empty net. Only towards the end of the match did the Dutch manage to break the deadlock by scoring two goals.

In summary, the blue-and-yellow team secured a convincing victory — 5:2. The next main round match for Oleksandr Shaytanov's wards will be against Croatia tomorrow (kickoff at 17:00 Kyiv time).
