President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about new Russian attacks on our energy system and the further expansion of the United24 platform.

Today, the battle for normal life for our people continued.

There were new Russian attacks on our energy system. Part of the drones and missiles were shot down. Once again, I thank those who did this — our air defense forces, our air force. In particular, the 138th Dnipro Air Defense Missile Brigade for shooting down four 'Kalibr' cruise missiles. There are also good results from other defenders of our skies. Today, I would like to highlight the Kherson Air Defense Missile Brigade for shooting down a Russian Su-25 ground attack aircraft.

I thank our partners — everyone who helps us with anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense. For example, the German 'Iris-T' system has performed very well — it is indeed an effective system.

We are working with partners to provide even more protection for Ukrainian skies.

Throughout the day of terrorist attacks, over 10 Ukrainian regions were affected. The Zhytomyr and Kyiv oblasts, Sumy region, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and other southern cities, Donbas. Everywhere possible, we are trying to speed up restoration work.

But now, as in previous days, the overall situation still requires very conscious electricity consumption and limiting the use of high-energy equipment during peak hours.

If our household electricity consumption is more mindful from 5 PM to 11 PM, then our energy system will be more stable. Each person who follows this simple rule for peak hours helps the entire country.

Please explain this to relatives, friends and neighbors so that we direct our national unity towards a common and very necessary result.

Today I had many consultations and communications regarding infrastructure restoration. Tomorrow there is another general meeting scheduled about the energy situation. We are working through all possible scenarios. And of course, this all ties in with our efforts to strengthen defenses against drones.

We must remember that Russia's very act of seeking such help from Iran is an admission by the Kremlin of its military-political bankruptcy.

For decades they spent billions on their defense industry, and in the end went to Tehran for relatively simple drones and missiles.

Strategically this will not help them at all. Only adds further proof to the world that Russia is on a path of defeat and trying to drag other allies into its terror.

We must ensure an appropriate international response to this.

But tactically, thanks to Iranian drones, terrorists may still have some hopes, calculations, new illusions. All of this will fall apart just like their previous plans did.

237 days of this war prove that we are capable of finding a response to any threat. If we act together — all Ukrainians and free nations of the world.

We have an important decision today from Estonia: its parliament has recognized Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. And this is another European step towards aligning the factual reality of Russian terror with Europe's official stance on Russia. Terror must receive all kinds of reactions — on the battlefield, sanctions and legal. Thank you to our Estonian friends for this!

We will continue working at all levels so that other countries adopt similar decisions.

I chaired a meeting regarding the processing in UN structures of our resolution project on establishing a compensation mechanism, which would ensure compensation from Russian assets for all damage caused by this war. We are gradually moving forward with this as well. The state-terrorist will inevitably pay for everything it has done.

Today there was another expansion of our United24 platform. This government crowdfunding platform has already collected over $200 million from people in dozens of countries.

Oleksandr Usyk became the new ambassador for United24. I just spoke with him and thanked him for his readiness to work for Ukraine.

Oleksandr will focus on projects dedicated to rebuilding our country, especially in Kyiv Oblast.

I would simply like to remind that alongside Usyk, the ambassadors already include Andriy Shevchenko, Elina Svitolina, Imagine Dragons, creative director of Balenciaga Demna, Liev Schreiber, Barbara Streisand and Mark Hammill.

Today alone, 2 billion euros in macro-financial aid from the EU arrived on Ukraine's accounts. This is important for us — to support our people socially. We are very grateful. We expect further tranches under this package totaling 9 billion euros overall.
