Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on October 7, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and sixtieth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is attempting to hold temporarily occupied territories, concentrating efforts on attempts to disrupt active operations of the Defense Forces on certain fronts, without ceasing to conduct offensive actions on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts. It is conducting redeployment of troops on the Southern Bug front.

The enemy is shelling our positions along the line of contact, carrying out engineering equipment of defensive positions and sectors on certain fronts, and conducting aerial reconnaissance. It inflicts strikes on civilian infrastructure and housing of civilians, violating international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war.

There remains a threat of air and missile strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine. Thus, during the past day, the occupiers delivered eight missile and 15 aerial strikes, carried out more than 70 shelling with multiple rocket launchers. Three enemy cruise missiles X-22 did not reach their targets.

From enemy fire, objects and civilian population in over 25 populated areas were affected.  Among others — Novomykhailivka, Zalizhne, Spirene, Davydov Brid, Blagodativka and Miren. Strikes on Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Nikopol were exclusively aimed at destroying civilian housing and critical infrastructure of cities.

On the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the situation has not changed significantly.

On other fronts, the enemy carried out shelling:

on the Northern front — with field artillery in the areas of populated places Boyaro-Lyachy, Mezenevka and Rizhivka of Sumy region;

on the Slobozhanskyi front — with tanks, mortars and rocket artillery in the areas of populated places Dvoriche, Zarubivka, Vovchansk, Hatishe;

on the Kramatorsk front — with various types of artillery in the areas of populated places Spirene, Bihorivka, Verkhnyokamyanske, Serbyanka and Rozdolivka;

on the Bakhmut front, the enemy inflicted fire impact in the areas of populated places Solorad, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Kurdyumivka, Opitne, Zaytseve and New York;

on the Avdiivka front, with tanks, mortars, field artillery and rocket artillery shelled areas of Mariinka, Shakhtarsk, Vodyany and Novomykhailivka;

on the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia fronts, infrastructure in the areas of populated places Novoukrayinka, Novodanilivka, Chervone, Novosylikha, Poltavka and Mali Shcherbaki was affected by enemy shelling;

on the Southern Bug front, fire impact was suffered in areas of over 25 populated places along the entire line of contact.

During the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the areas of populated places Viyimka, Krasne, Bakhmut, Mayoriv, Vesele, Pobeda, Nevelske, Kamianka and Ternev Podi.

According to available information, reinforcements from 500 demobilized criminals have arrived to strengthen the Russian army fighting on temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. Commanders of newly arrived units were appointed officers from among former Russian law enforcement officials. The command of Russian troops issued an order to confiscate mobile phones from all mobilized personnel arriving.

The aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 23 strikes during the past day. Confirmed damage to a strongpoint, 15 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, as well as seven air defense missile systems of the enemy. In addition, our anti-aircraft units on various fronts shot down over 20 enemy drones. Among them — five "Orlan-10", 15 Shahed-136 and one Mohajer-6.

Missile troops and artillery inflicted damage to five areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, two positions of air defense systems, two pieces of artillery, a munitions depot and a crossing during the past day.
