The crushing victory over Armenia (5-0) became the biggest win for Ukraine in their UEFA Nations League campaign. It is also the largest scoreline achieved under head coach Oleksandr Petrakov's leadership. Additionally, several significant individual milestones were recorded in Yerevan: Andriy Yarmolenko played his 111th match for the national team, tying with record holder Andriy Shevchenko (three more goals needed to tie Shevchenko’s goal-scoring record), Artem Dovbik scored a brace for the first time in his career, Oleksandr Timchik and Danilo Igнатenko scored their debut goals, while Oleksandr Zubkov made his official tournament debut with two assists. However, despite such impressive statistical achievements, the boys are fully aware that the decisive battle for group B1 victory will be against Scotland on September 27.

After landing at Krakow Airport (the flight lasted 3 hours and 45 minutes), the blue-and-yellow team learned that Steve Clarke's side had won against Ireland, securing first place in the group. As a result, only a victory will suffice for us tomorrow. The mood in the squad reflects this.
Today’s evening training session took place on the pitch of the training center of club "Krakowia". By the way, tomorrow's official training session will also take place there as the grass at Krakowia Stadium is not in the best condition and needs to be preserved for the match.

All 23 players currently in camp participated in today's training. Serhiy Sydorchuk, who received his second yellow card yesterday and will miss the Scotland match, remained with the team but will come to support his teammates on the day of the game.

As usual, for recovery training, the team was divided into two groups. Nine outfield players from yesterday's starting lineup plus Oleksandr Pichalonok, who played in the second half, conducted a run and aerobic exercises under the guidance of fitness coach Ivan Bashthov to oxygenate their muscles and eliminate lactate this way. Meanwhile, the other ten players along with three goalkeepers had a more intense training session that included a square drill and game series.

As planned earlier, the official training session of Ukraine's national team will start tomorrow at 18:00 local time but not on the stadium pitch due to the reasons mentioned above.
The press conference with head coach Oleksandr Petrakov and player Ruslan Malinovskiy, however, will take place in the conference room of the playing stadium at a different time (start - 10:30 CET).
