The Ukrainian women's national team will play their last World Cup 2023 qualifier match away against Spain on Tuesday, September 6. The game with the Pyrenees team will take place in Madrid at Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas — the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (kick-off: 10 PM Kyiv time).
After their away victory over the Faroe Islands team (3:0), the blue-and-yellow team set off for Madrid. Under Luis Cortés' guidance, they have already trained in the outskirts of Spain's capital at the Las Rozas national teams base.

“It's been a while since I last played, around half a year without seeing the team. Thank you to the coaches and girls for their trust. The Faroes are a good team. We were lacking some luck, realization, cool-headedness. There is room for improvement — Spain awaits us next. Our plan is always the same: to win,”— said goalkeeper of Ukraine's national team Daria Bondarchuk after the match against the Faroe Islands.
“It was not easy to switch to artificial turf, it was tough in the first 15 minutes. I'm happy that I scored two goals which turned out to be decisive ones. I think Ukraine's national team is well-prepared and will approach the game against Spain with a fighting spirit,”— noted our team's forward Nadia Kunitsyna.
“It's always nice to win, no matter who the opponent is. The Faroes played defensive football, seven or eight players in defense, it was hard for us to break through them. Of course, we could have scored more. Our young players need to adapt to the team and adjust to our style of play. Everything comes with experience,”— said defender of blue-and-yellow Lubov Shmatko.
