To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 22, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred eighty day of heroic resistance against Russia's military aggression has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate efforts on establishing full control over territories in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, holding occupied areas in Kherson and parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions, restoring combat readiness of units that have suffered losses, as well as preventing a possible counteroffensive by the Armed Forces.

On the Volynian, Polesian, and Northern directions — no significant changes. The enemy shelled with field artillery areas near Katerinivka and Obod in Sumy region.

On the Kharkiv direction — the enemy carried out tank, field, and rocket artillery shelling near Svitlivne, Slyatyno, Pitosnyk, Pytryvka, Pyskan, Husaryvka, Mospanovo, Krynychne, and Pryshyb.

On the Slovyansk direction—the enemy continued to exert fire influence near Dybriwne, Mazanivka, and Dolyna.

Attempted an offensive in the directions of Dovgenkove — Dybriwne, Brakhivka — Nova Dmitrivka, was unsuccessful, withdrew.

On the Kramatorsk direction—observed shelling near Rozdolivka, Hryhorivka, Verkhnyokamyanskyi, Dronivka, and Serbyanka. The enemy attempted an offensive in the direction of Spirene — Vesele, combat operations continue.

On the Bakhmut direction—the enemy inflicted artillery fire damage with field artillery and MLRS near populated areas of Solorad, Zaytseve, and Bilohorivka. Carried out an offensive in the directions of Verkhnya — Kodema and Gladosev — Kodema, was unsuccessful. Combat operations continue on the directions of Stropivka — Solorad, Pokrovsko — Bakhmut, Travnove — Kodema, Semihirya — Zaytseve, and Gladosev — Kurdyumyvka.

On the Avdiivka direction—the enemy carried out shelling with field and rocket artillery near Opytnoye, Mariinka, Pisky, Avdiivka, and Nevelsko. Attempted offensive actions in the directions of Spartak — Opytnoe, Novoselyvka Seconda — Krasnogorivka, Donetsk — Pereymayskoye, Pisky — Nevelsko, Lohove — Nevelsko, was unsuccessful.

On the Novopavlivka direction—observed artillery shelling near Vuhledar, Bila Nova Selyvka, and Pavlivka.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction — occupiers carried out fire damage to areas of Dorozhnyanka, Novoselyvka, and Mala Tokmachka. Near the latter and Olhyvske, air strikes were inflicted. The enemy attempted an offensive in the direction of Makarykivka — Vremyvka, was unsuccessful, withdrew.

On the Southern Bug direction—the enemy continued shelling with tanks, field and rocket artillery areas near populated places of Bila Artakove, Lohove, Tavriyske, Stepova Dolyna, Pereymayskoye, Kiselivka, Chervona Dolyna, Potyomkinne, Prybuzhne, Parutynne, Polyana, Novoaleksandrovka, and Partizanske.

Inflicted air strikes near Zarychne, Bila Krynytsya, and Andriivka.

On the Mykolaiv direction—occupants carried out offensive actions in the area of populated place Blahodatne, have partial success.

Naval groupings of the enemy in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas are concentrating efforts on blocking civilian maritime traffic in the northwestern part of the Black Sea and damaging military objects and infrastructure elements deep within Ukrainian territory.

Our rocket-artillery units and aviation continue to successfully execute fire missions on designated directions. The enemy is experiencing a sharp shortage of trained and motivated reinforcements for units that are systematically suffering losses.
