To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 20, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred seventy-eighth day of heroic resistance against Russia's military aggression has begun.

On the Volyn, Polesie, and North regions the situation remained unchanged. With field artillery, the enemy shelled civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Bilopillya and Krasnopillya in Sumy Oblast. The enemy also conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs.

On the Slobozhanskyi region the enemy is conducting combat operations aimed at holding occupied territories and preventing counter-offensives by units of the Defense Forces, and in some places attempting to improve tactical positions.

On the Kharkiv region the enemy conducted fire strikes with field artillery and multiple rocket launchers near the populated areas of Chuhuyiv, Zolochiv, Pitomnik, Gusarivka, Sosnovka, Ruski Tishky, Korobochkine, Sheshakovoye, Duvanka, and Prydyanyk. He actively conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs.

He carried out air strikes near Lebyazhye and Zalizman. Conducted offensive battles in the area of Borshevo, without success, withdrew.

On the Slovianskyi region tank shelling, field artillery, and multiple rocket launcher strikes were recorded near Dolgynka, Suligivka, and Mazanivka.

Near Novodmytrivka, Verhopillya, and Kurulyk, enemy units attempted to conduct assault operations but received a counterattack and retreated.

On the Kramatorskyi region the enemy conducted artillery strikes with field and multiple rocket launchers near Rozdolivka, Sydivoye, Spirnoye, and Pryshyb. He conducted aerial reconnaissance in areas of combat operations. Near Ivan-Daryivka he is attempting to conduct an offensive, combat operations are ongoing.

On the Bakhmutskyi region civilian infrastructure suffered fire strikes near Zaytseve, Bakhmutskoye, Veselye, Bakhmut, Andriyivka, Kodema, and Mayorshchyna.

Occupants are conducting offensive and assault operations in the areas of Bakhmut, Zaytseve, and Kodema. Without success, combat operations continue.

On the Avdiivskyi region occupiers used tanks, field artillery, and multiple rocket launchers near Novobakhmutivka, Nevelskoye, Neskychnoye, Oleksandropol, Keramika, Kermenchyk, and Pisky.

The enemy's aviation was active near Mariinka. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs in areas of combat operations on the specified axis. He is advancing towards populated areas of Opitne and Mayorshchyna, without success, fighting continues.

On the Novopavlivskyi region shelling was recorded near Volodymyrivka, Vuhledar, and Prichystivka. The enemy conducted assault operations in the area of populated place Zolota Niva, without success, withdrew.

On the Zaporizhzhia region the enemy used artillery and tanks for shelling near Bilyhorod, Novodanylivka, Novopil, Chervone, Vremivka, Charivne, and Olhyvsky.

On the South Bug region the main efforts of the enemy are focused on preventing our troops from advancing. The occupiers use measures to replenish losses in personnel and equipment. The enemy conducted shelling of civilian and military infrastructure near Prybuzhskoye, Luch, Tavriyske, Novogrigoryevka, Oleynivka, Novoselyvka, Blahodatne, Veselyy Kut, Shyroke, Yakovlivka, Bila Krinitsa, Andriyivka, and Ottradne. For conducting aerial reconnaissance continues to actively use UAVs.

The enemy's personnel are demoralized due to the constant postponement of rotation terms and deception regarding promised payments. This leads to occupiers refusing to participate in combat operations.
