President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, reporting on the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in destroying Russian army logistics and announcing a new package of support from the United States.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Briefly summarizing the past week.

First, I want to thank all our fighters who heroically — and in the hottest spots of the front line, almost superhumanly — hold back the enemy.

The Russian army will not change its tactics. The occupiers know that they are losing to Ukrainians in direct battles and fall short in skill, so the enemy relies heavily on artillery and total shelling.

They try to destroy everything before them and advance through ruins. And I am grateful to everyone who holds back the occupiers under such conditions in Donbas, Kharkiv region, Mykolaiv direction — everywhere where the situation is most acute now.

Over this week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and our intelligence achieved significant results in destroying Russian army logistics and rear bases of the occupiers. And every strike on enemy ammunition supplies, command posts, and concentrations of Russian equipment saves lives for all of us, Ukrainian military personnel and civilians.

Of course, I thank our partners — everyone who provides Ukraine with necessary weapons. In particular, this week a new package of support from the United States was approved, which includes ammunition for «HIMARS». Thank you very much. All of it is being used as accurately and effectively as possible in line with our overall defense strategy. We are doing everything to obtain even more effective and modern weapons.

We managed to restore the maritime export of Ukrainian agricultural products. Our ports on the Black Sea are working again. Although it's still too early to give general assessments of the process, we can say that this is positive for our country and all our partners.

However, the key risk — security-wise — remains. The threat of Russian provocations and terrorist attacks persists. This must be understood by everyone.

But if partners fulfill their part of the obligations and guarantee safe supply chains, this will indeed resolve the global food crisis.

And we should not forget that the restoration of our maritime export was made possible primarily due to our soldiers — all who defend Odesa and liberated Zmiinyi Island. They are simply heroes.

Over the week, we significantly expanded opportunities for Ukraine on the African front — there were new contacts with leaders of countries and meetings with journalists. I will continue this work next week — a series of talks is planned.

Unfortunately, the situation around Zaporizhzhia NPP has significantly worsened. Russian terrorists became the first in the world to use an atomic power plant for terror. The largest one in Europe! We will draw attention from the world and demand new sanctions on Russia for creating such a global threat.

And despite that, Russian shelling of the nuclear power plant is one of the most dangerous crimes against Ukrainians and all Europeans, against the right to life of every person, Amnesty International has not issued any report or even simple statement on this. This very eloquent silence once again points to the manipulative selectivity of this organization.

Over this week there were new sanctions steps from Canada and the United States. An important decision was made by Switzerland — regarding support for the seventh EU sanctions package. The general trend towards strengthening sanctions remains unchanged and will further increase the cost for the state of terrorism, terror against our people.

I want to thank everyone who is developing our state charity platform UNITED24 and all its ambassadors — Andriy Shevchenko, Yelina Svitolina, Liev Schreiber, Imagine Dragons band, Demi. This week we summed up three months of work by UNITED24. Over 6 billion hryvnias were collected for reconstruction, medical equipment, and the purchase of fast response vehicles — dozens of such vehicles have already been purchased. The first helicopter has also been acquired with funds raised through UNITED24. It will be used to rescue the wounded. Help was mobilized from over a hundred countries.

One of the most responsible directions for August and September — this is implementing our Fast Recovery plan. What needs to be done on territories liberated from the enemy, in order to give people conditions for normal life and prepare for the autumn-winter season. So far, 1060 settlements have been freed, and almost all of them require significant reconstruction work, demining, construction of social facilities. And I thank all our partners who joined these efforts.

In particular, this week a delegation from Estonia visited the regions of Zhytomyr oblast that they are helping to restore. Estonia was the first within the Fast Recovery plan to choose objects for funding.

We work with diplomats and companies on all other areas that require support and reconstruction efforts.

Believe in our defenders! Help the defense!

Keep unity and do everything for Ukraine's victory! It will be!

Eternal glory to our soldiers!

Glory to Ukraine!»
