To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 3, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred sixty-first day of heroic resistance against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to inflict air and missile strikes on civilian objects within Ukrainian territory.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions training was conducted with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus. The occupiers continue to use the territory of Belarus for transferring reconnaissance groups into Ukraine.

On the Northern Direction the enemy carried out artillery strikes on our positions. Conducted aerial reconnaissance in border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Enemy electronic warfare systems are active.

On the Slobozhanskyi Direction the enemy is conducting combat operations aimed at holding occupied lines and preventing advances by units of the Territorial Defense Forces.

On the Kharkiv Direction the enemy shelled areas around the towns of Kharkiv, Prudyanka, Pitomnik, Ruski Tishky, Nova Mykolaivka, Rubizhne, Pischeane, Borchova, Zamulivka, Lebyazhye, Korobochkine, Bazaliyivka and Basove.

Occupants attempted to advance towards Kochubeievka — Dementiyevka but were repelled and retreated.

On the Sloviansk Direction artillery strikes from field and rocket artillery were observed near Novo Dmitriyivka, Bogorodichne, Chepyl, Karnaukhivka, Dovgenkove, Barvinokove, Shnurky, Husaryvka and Dmitrivka.

Enemy reconnaissance group attempted to conduct reconnaissance south of Mazanivka; the enemy was detected and destroyed.

In Donetske, the enemy is concentrating efforts on the Bakhmut Direction.

On the Seversk Direction the enemy carried out artillery strikes from field and rocket artillery as well as tanks near Seversk, Seriyebryanka and Hryhorivka. Conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs around Nikiforivka and Tetianivka.

On the Bakhmut Direction to drive our units from occupied lines, enemy carried out artillery strikes in areas near Kodema, Semigirya, Travnove, Viyimka, Beresteve, Bakhmutse and Opitne. Conducted air strikes around Semigirya and Bilohorivka.

The enemy attempted an advance west of Beresteve but was unsuccessful and retreated. The same situation on the Volodymyrivka — Yakovlivka and Semigirya — Kodema directions.

Combat operations are ongoing on the Volodymyrivka — Solodar and Pokrovsk — Bakhmut directions.

On the Revival — Kodema and Dolomitne — Semigirya directions, Ukrainian forces inflicted heavy fire damage on enemy positions forcing them to retreat.

On the Avdiivka Direction the enemy shelled areas around Avdiivka. Attempted to improve tactical situation but was unsuccessful and retreated with losses.

On the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia Directions artillery strikes were observed near Kostiantynivka, Novosilka, Velyka Novosilka, Charyvne, Mala Tokmachka, Novopolie, Yurkivka and Hulyaypole.

Due to low personnel levels in a tank regiment reserve unit, the equipment of this military unit that was moved to the Zaporizhzhia direction at the end of May this year has been transferred for reinforcement of tank battalions within the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District.

To counter technical reconnaissance means, the enemy is deploying electronic warfare systems.

On the South Buzhak Direction to restrict our forces' actions, the enemy shelled positions with tanks and field and rocket artillery in areas around Potyomkine, Topoline, Knyazivka, Velyka Kostenko, Apostolove, Stepova Dolina, Posad-Pokrovsk, Novogrygoriyivka, Lupareve, Limany, Kobzarky, Shirokye, Kvitenye and Bihorok. Used aviation to strike the area around Plotnitske.

To clarify the situation of our forces, correct fire and control masking of their units, the enemy is conducting aerial reconnaissance.

Continues implementing measures for protection of bridge crossings over the Dnieper River.

In the Black Sea waters two missile carriers of the Kalibr type are in readiness to use high-precision weapons.

The enemy's aviation group is conducting systematic combat operations aimed at supporting ground units. Efforts are focused on damaging military targets on the Donetsk Direction. Due to poor weather conditions, the intensity of air flights has decreased.

Ukrainian rocket-artillery subunits continue executing fire missions against enemy strongholds, concentrations of manpower and logistics bases.
