President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the work of artillery from our Western partners and about expanding foreign policy directions for our country.

Today in Kharkiv, a Russian missile strike destroyed the pedagogical university — the main building, lecture halls, university museum, and scientific library. This precisely characterizes the Russian invasion. If one were to define what barbarism is, this strike fits best. Only an enemy of civilization and humanity could do such things — bomb a university, a pedagogical university.

This strike has already damaged the second object dedicated to Hryhorii Skovoroda — the monument that was on the square in front of the university. It was buried under debris, but fortunately, the monument is not broken. However, the Skovoroda Museum located in Kharkiv region burned down back in May after a Russian shelling. Nevertheless, paraphrasing the most famous words of Skovoroda, even if occupiers tried to catch us, they could not capture us. We will definitely stand our ground and everything will be restored.

Finally, it is felt that very powerfully Western artillery has worked — that weaponry we received from our partners. Its accuracy is truly as needed. Our defenders are delivering very significant blows to supply points and other locations important for the logistics of occupiers. And this significantly reduces the offensive potential of the Russian army. Losses of occupiers will only increase with each week, along with the difficulties they face in resupply.

Today it became known to the general public that on the south of our country, in occupied areas, access was blocked to social networks, messengers and YouTube. Russian forces have blocked any possibility for people to know the truth about what is happening and about our potential which we are gradually increasing.

Ukrainian forces are advancing now on several tactical fronts, including in the south — in Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia oblast. We will not give up our land — all sovereign territory of Ukraine will be Ukrainian. People must know this. Therefore, if you have an opportunity to talk to people in the south of our country — with Kherson, Henichesk, Berdyansk, Melitopol and other cities and villages — please spread there the truth. Use any possibility to tell people in occupied areas that we remember them and fight for them. We fight for all our south, for all Ukrainian Donbas — where now the fiercest confrontation is taking place near Sviatoshyn and Bakhmut. We fight for Kharkiv region. Let occupiers not think that their time on this land — is long, and the advantage of their artillery — eternal.

I chaired a meeting of the General Headquarters. As always, I heard reports — from military personnel and intelligence. We jointly determined directions for action in the near future.

We are expanding foreign policy directions for our country. For the first time in history of Ukrainian-Paraguayan relations, I held a conversation with President of Paraguay. And we appreciate support from this country. We will further strengthen ties in Latin America. Also spoke today with President of Mozambique — congratulated his country on being elected to UN Security Council, and believe that Africa should get more representation at international forums and in resolving global issues. It is precisely African countries that are now most threatened by the food crisis provoked by Russia, and we must do everything to force a state-terrorist to unblock Ukrainian agricultural exports.

The Prime Minister of Ireland — a country which helps us greatly visited Kyiv. Ireland even helped convince representatives of EU-skeptic countries that Ukraine deserves candidate status and further membership in the EU. Moreover, we remember that the Irish Senate recognized crimes of Russian occupiers as genocide against Ukrainian people. And this step, along with support from Ireland for legal efforts to punish Russian war criminals — all is very important. Together with work by Ukrainian law enforcement, help from partners — these are exactly the bricks out of which justice restoration for Ukraine will be built.

Each Russian killer, thug and vandal who came to our land will answer. And it does not matter how long this task takes to complete. No occupier will have peace.
