As part of the preparation for the Euro 2022 (U-19) qualification round, Ukraine's youth team is participating in the Futsal Week U-19 international tournament taking place in Poreč, Croatia.

In group matches, the blue and yellow team defeated Greenland (10:1), Hungary (5:2), and drew with Japan (4:4). In the semifinals, our young players lost to Spain — 0:3. Now in the match for third place, blue and yellow will play against Poland. The game will take place on Sunday, June 26 (kickoff at 7:45 PM Kyiv time).

After the tournament in Croatia, Ukrainians are heading to Chiorescu, Moldova, which from July 7—10 will host group 6 matches of the Euro 2022 qualification round. Our team's opponents will be Andorra, Belgium, and Moldova.

Recall that on August 30 last year, the draw for the qualification round of the second European Championship in futsal (U-19) took place. According to its results, Vitaliy Odegov's wards were placed in group 6, where they will meet Belgium, Moldova, and the winner of group A of the previous round — Andorra.

The Ukrainian team was designated as a host for one of the mini-tournaments that was supposed to take place at Lviv's "Bosko-Arena" on March 16—19. However, due to Russia's military invasion, the matches were rescheduled to July 7—10 this year. The games will be hosted by Chiorescu in Moldova.

Recall that according to the results of matches in the qualification round, seven participants of the final tournament of the European Championship 2022 among youth teams are already known. Joining Spain, which will be the host, are Italy, Portugal, France, Poland, Romania and Croatia. The last participant of Euro 2022 will be determined by the results of group 6 matches.

The final stage of Euro 2022 (U-19) futsal championship will take place from September 3—10 in Jaén, Spain at "Olivo-Arena," which accommodates 6500 spectators. According to the draw, eight tournament participants will be divided into two groups of four teams each, with the top two from each group advancing to semifinals.

Recall that on the first in history Euro among youth futsal teams, which took place in 2019, Ukraine's team qualified for the final tournament and secured third place in its group. And Spain's team became the champion, one of the rivals of blue and yellow.
