The Swedish Football Association (SFA) has accepted the proposal from Stockholm AIK and Poltava Vorskla
regarding matches in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
On June 15, in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw for the second qualifying round of the Conference League took place. By the draw's decision, Poltava Vorskla
was paired with Stockholm AIK at this stage.
After this, the Ukrainian and Swedish clubs jointly addressed the SFA requesting to hold both matches on July 21st and 27th in Stockholm — at the Stockholm Arena
and Friends Arena
, respectively.
Having considered the matter and taking into account that the request is a result of the war in Ukraine, as well as the possibility of scheduling AIK - Vorskla matches without conflicting with other Swedish club fixtures, the SFA gave its consent to the proposal in a letter addressed to the UAF.
The UEFA must ratify the decision that both Conference League second qualifying round matches between AIK and Vorskla
will take place in Stockholm.
