Note for attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on June 20, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

The one hundred and seventeenth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian military invasion has begun.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions, there have been no significant changes in the situation.

On the Northern Direction, the enemy continues to maintain up to three battalion tactical groups from the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District, as well as airborne troops units for covering the Russian-Ukrainian border area in Bryansk and Kursk regions. In the Bryansk region, the adversary has deployed a division of S-300V4 air defense missiles.

In addition, the Russian aggressor carried out artillery shelling in the vicinity of the populated area Seredina-Buda in Sumy Oblast.

On the Slobozhansky Direction, the enemy delivered an air strike and conducted artillery shelling in the areas around the populated places Timofiyivka and Morozova Dolyna.

On the Kharkiv Direction, the main efforts of the adversary are focused on preventing the advance of Ukrainian Defense Forces to Ukraine's state border. The enemy intensively shelled with artillery the areas around populated places Kozacha Lopan, Maliy Prohody, Dementiyevka, Pyrivka, Verkhniy Saltiv, Rubizhne and the vicinity of Kharkiv city.

On the Sloviansky Direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage with field artillery and multiple rocket launchers in the areas around populated places Chepel, Pryshyb, Protopyovka, Velyka Komishuvahta, Dybryvne, Virnopillya, Mayak, Kurulka, Bogorodychne, Mazanivka, Krasnopolya and Dolyna.

On the Donetsk Direction, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on the Severodonetsk and Bakhmut Directions. He intensively uses aviation.

On the Severodonetsk Direction, the enemy shelled with field and rocket artillery the areas around populated places Lysychansk, Syrotynne, Voroneve, Borivske, Bila Hora, Ustynivka, Mira Dolyna, Toskivka and delivered air strikes by pairs of Su-25 aircraft near Bila Hora and Mira Dolyna. Combat operations are ongoing for establishing full control over the city of Severodonetsk.

On the Bakhmut Direction, during the day, the enemy carried out shelling with field artillery and multiple rocket launchers in the areas around populated places Orilove, Zolote-3, Mykolaivka, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Pokrovskoye, Klinove, Zaytseve and New York. The enemy delivered an air strike near Yakovlivka and rocket strikes near Travniany, Dolomitne, Zaytseve and New York.

On the Lyman, Avdiivka, Kramatorsk, Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhia Directions, the enemy is trying to prevent regrouping of our troops' units. He carried out artillery shelling with various caliber guns in the areas around populated places Kalynove, Ocheretinoye, Berdychi, Zhelanoe, Tonennye, Severne, Orlyvka, Semenivka, Veselye, Avdiyivka, Netaylove, Vodiane, Opitne, Pervomaiskoye, Pysky, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Shevchenko, Velika Novosilka, Verymyvka, Olgivske, Novopil, Temirove, Poltavka, Maliyevka, Chervona, Zaliznychne, Hulyaypilske, Novodanylivka, Orikhove and Kamianske.

On the Lyman Direction, the enemy delivered an air strike by two Su-25 aircraft in the vicinity of the populated place Pryshyb and a rocket strike near Mayaki.

On the Avdiivka Direction, the enemy delivered air strikes by Su-25 aircraft in the areas around the populated places Shevchenko and Vuhledar.

On the South Buzhak Direction, the enemy is concentrating efforts on maintaining occupied positions and preventing our troops' advance. No active actions were carried out. He conducted fire strikes with field and rocket artillery in the areas around populated places Chervoniy Yar, Murakhivka, Kalynivka, Zelenyi Hai, Kvitenne, Polyana, Chervona Dolyna, Shirokoye, Blahodatne, Zoria and Lupareve.

In the waters of the Black Sea and Azov Sea, main efforts of the enemy's naval group are concentrated on blocking civilian maritime traffic in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

Five carriers of sea-based cruise missiles remain ready for tasks to strike targets within Ukraine’s territory.

Ukrainian defenders inflict losses on Russian occupiers across all directions where active combat operations are ongoing.
