"Returning from the south — I visited our advanced positions in Mykolaiv region today, as well as the city of Mykolaiv and Odesa oblast. Spoke with our defenders — military personnel, police officers, National Guard members, territorial defense forces. Their mood is confident, and it's clear from their eyes that they have no doubts about our victory. I thanked them for their service and for defending our country. I also thanked the parents of these brave children. They are truly very strong.

I awarded honors to the best among them. I presented the Order «Golden Star» to Hero of Ukraine — Colonel Vadym Sukharyov, commander of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.

We will not give up the south to anyone, everything is ours — we will return it all, and the sea will be Ukrainian and safe.

In Mykolaiv and Odesa, I held meetings with our military personnel and all officials responsible for defending and supporting these regions. I listened to reports about the destruction caused by Russian strikes. The losses — are significant. Many residential buildings have been destroyed, civil logistics has been disrupted, many social issues have arisen. I instructed to provide more systematic assistance to people who have lost loved ones. And everything that was destroyed will definitely be restored. Russia does not have as many missiles as the desire of our people to live.

We thoroughly discussed the economic situation and the work of the agricultural sector. We talked about the security of our ports and opportunities for exporting our agro-products. Our position is clear and unchanging: as soon as we can guarantee security with international mediation, Ukraine will do everything possible to counteract the food crisis in the world caused by Russia's war, — both in Asia, Africa, and most European countries.

In Mykolaiv and Odesa, I visited city hospitals. I thanked doctors and medical sisters — they are simply our heroes. The day before the Day of the Doctor, I congratulated them on their professional holiday.

I spoke with our defenders who were injured in battle.

Yesterday, I signed a decree conferring the rank of major general to Commander of Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Tetiana Ostasheva. Today, I had the honor of personally congratulating Tetiana Mykhailivna on her new rank.

And I am not without reason always say in my appeals «defenders and defenders». And I want everyone in Ukraine to always highlight the contribution of both men and women in defending our country.

My main impressions today — absolute pride for our people. I am proud of all who defend the state! Thank you to everyone who saves lives!

Glory to Ukraine!"
