France defeated Serbia — 2:0, and North Macedonia — Armenia — 3:1. Therefore, it can be stated that the Ukrainian youth national team will not drop below second place in the group and has guaranteed itself at least a spot in the playoffs. However, they have theoretical chances to become the best team among those finishing second or even secure first place.
We remind you that 16 teams will participate in the final stage of Euro-2023 (U-21) — Romania and Georgia as hosts, plus another 14 national teams joining them based on qualifying results (nine group winners, the best team among second-place finishers, and four playoff winners, where eight second-place finishers will compete).
Under Rotan's guidance, there are three more matches to be played in the group stage. The home games against North Macedonia and France will take place on June 5th and 9th at the Esenyurt Nedim Kadioglu Arena in Istanbul, where the local team Galatasaray plays (capacity: 4,500 spectators). The first match starts at 20:45 (local time is the same as Kyiv's time). The kickoff against France is scheduled for 19:45.
The game Armenia — Ukraine will take place on June 12th at Yerevan Football Academy Stadium (kickoff at 18:00 Kyiv time).
