The final stage of the first European-2022 (U-17) has concluded in Israel. The decisive match was between the teams of France and the Netherlands.

In both semifinals, both teams emerged victorious over their opponents only after penalty shootout series. France defeated Portugal (2-2, penalties - 6-5), and the Netherlands beat Serbia (2-2, penalties - 5-3).
Today, however, there was no need for a penalty shootout. Despite the Dutch opening the scoring, the French managed to secure an unexpected victory thanks to a brace from Saliou Ciss — 2-1.
Thus, France's national team has become the champion of Europe in the U-17 age category for the third time in their history. They previously achieved this feat in 2004 and 2015.
