The national team, consisting of 22 players, worked on technique, passing and ball control during various training exercises and drills. The session aimed to give the players an opportunity to recover both mentally and physically after a friendly match against Borussia M (2:1), which was played at a fairly high pace.

Defender of Kyiv's Dynamo, Oleksandr Karavaev, shared his impressions from the training process.

"Whenever we have the opportunity to train, especially in such conditions, — it is a joy. We are in good spirits, always smiling and genuinely enjoying the sessions.

In the game against Borussia M, we received quite high loads. We played in special jerseys that allow the coaching staff to track our performance indicators. The match had a high tempo, and I wouldn't say it was easy. Playing against such a serious opponent took a lot of energy out of us. Despite this, in training, we maintain the pace and regimen set by our coaches. We need to work step-by-step towards the Scotland game.

Since there are no official matches for us at the moment, we must approach friendly games as if they were official ones and demonstrate everything that we have worked on in training. We take what is required of us by the coaching staff with maximum seriousness so that we are 100% fit for every game and can tackle the tasks set to us," — said Oleksandr Karavaev.

Recall, the semi-final match of the UEFA Euro 2022 qualifier between Scotland and Ukraine will take place on June 1st in Glasgow at Hampden Park.
