Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 02.05.2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

The sixty-eighth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military aggression has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to conduct a large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine and offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions defined units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform tasks to cover the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in the Brest and Gomel regions.

There remains a threat of enemy missile strikes on military and civilian infrastructure objects from the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

On the Northern Direction the enemy with mortars shelled our troops' positions in the area of Senkivka, Chernihiv region.

In areas bordering Ukraine in Bryansk region, a reinforced administrative-police and counter-intelligence regime has been established. Checkpoints are deployed on main roads and near populated areas.

On the Slobozhansky Direction enemy groupings continue to shell the city of Kharkiv and populated points of Udi and Prudyanka.

On the Izium Direction enemy forces are continuing offensive operations towards Izium — Barvenkove and Izium — Svyatoshyn. The enemy continued to shell our troops.

On the Donetsk Direction groupings of occupying forces are conducting offensive operations almost along the entire line of confrontation.

On the Lyman Direction the enemy carried out fire impact on our troops' units in the Lyman — Severne sector with the aim of driving them from their positions and creating conditions for an advance towards Svyatoshyn.

On the Severodonetsk Direction the main efforts of the enemy were focused on taking Rubizhnoe under full control and preparing for an advance towards Severodonetsk.

On the Popasna Direction the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position in the area of Popasnaya. Reinforced troops by transferring one battalion tactical group from the Mariupol direction.

To strengthen the air defense system, the enemy deployed additional anti-aircraft missile complexes on temporarily occupied and temporarily seized territories of Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

On the Tavriysky and Southern Buzka Directions the enemy continues to attempt to improve its tactical position and conduct shelling.

On the Tavriysky Direction, enemy units are being regrouped, artillery systems are being reinforced, engineering equipment is being installed on positions, and supplies of ammunition and fuel-oil materials are being replenished.

On the Southern Buzka Direction, occupiers attempt to reach the administrative border of Kherson region, searching for weak spots in our defense. In the area of Mykolaiv, the aggressor conducted aerial reconnaissance using three UAVs and carried out artillery fire on positions of our units.

Over the previous day, air defense units shot down ten «Orlan-10» drones.

The enemy suffers significant losses, especially in artillery and on land. Only in the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day, ten attacks by Russian occupiers were repelled, two tanks, seventeen artillery systems, thirty-eight units of armored combat vehicles, and ten units of enemy motorized equipment were destroyed.
