General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 29.04.2022)

Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 29, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The sixty-fifth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

Russia continues to wage a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

The enemy is continuing offensive actions in the Eastern Operational Zone with the goal of establishing complete control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as maintaining a land corridor with temporarily occupied Crimea.

On the Volynian and Polesian directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations; signs of forming offensive groupings were not detected. Defined units of the armed forces of the republic Belarus continue to carry out tasks related to strengthening the protection of the state border with Ukraine.

On the Northern direction, no changes in activity or composition of enemy groupings have been observed.

On the Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy continues to concentrate efforts on holding occupied positions near the city of Kharkiv and attempts to carry out fire strikes against units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along certain directions.

On the Iziumskyi direction, no active offensive actions by the enemy were conducted. Main efforts focused on conducting reconnaissance, identifying defensive positions of units of the Territorial Defense and their destruction with artillery fire.

On the Donetsk and Tavriyskyi directions, to prevent our troops from regrouping, the enemy continues to shell positions with artillery, mortars, and multiple rocket launchers along the entire line of contact.

Russian occupiers continue to block our units in Mariupol near the «Azovstal» plant.

On temporarily occupied territories, the occupation authorities continue to implement measures aimed at restricting movement and detaining local residents and blocking humanitarian cargo from Ukraine. In addition, Russian occupiers are looting farmers. For example, over 60 tons of wheat along with transport vehicles were stolen from a farm in Kam’yanka-Dniprovska.

Over the previous day, Ukrainian defenders hit fifteen aerial targets: one aircraft, five cruise missiles and nine unmanned tactical aircraft.

Ukrainian defenders are conducting active maneuver defense, in some places delivering counterattacks. Only on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day, nine enemy attacks were repelled, six tanks, one artillery system, twelve units of armored vehicles, one car and one anti-aircraft installation were destroyed.

We will report on general losses of the enemy in a separate bulletin.

We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
