Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 17, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The fifty-third day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military aggression has begun.

The enemy continues to wage a full-scale armed aggression against our state.

Russian units are continuing their movement into Ukraine from Kursk, Bryansk, and Voronezh regions. Units of the Russian Federation's Armed Forces that are on Ukrainian territory have significant problems with supply. At the same time, they managed to accumulate considerable stockpiles of ammunition.

Among enemy units located along the front line, dissatisfaction among personnel is growing, and their morale remains at a low level. Russian military servicemen constantly complain about the lack of rotation, malfunctioning equipment, poor quality of ammunition supplied, and food.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions the enemy did not conduct active operations. Units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform tasks for covering the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in the territories of Brest and Homel regions.

On the Northern Direction there is a possibility of missile strikes and artillery shelling from Russian territory against military and civilian infrastructure objects in Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

On the Slobozhanskyi Direction no changes have been noted in the composition and situation of enemy forces. The occupiers continue partial blockading of Kharkiv city and shelling its residential areas.

On the Donetsk and Tavriyskyi Directions the enemy continued to deliver air strikes on Mariupol. Conducted assault operations in the vicinity of the seaport.

Units of the 810th and 155th separate marine infantry brigades are preparing for a landing operation. Information is being verified at this time.

On the South Buzhskyi Direction the main efforts of the enemy are focused on holding occupied positions. According to available information, in the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, a check of combat readiness was conducted by representatives of the federal security service of the Russian Federation involving the 1st, 2nd and 3rd separate motorized rifle brigades of the armed formations of PMR. The units that were checked are not ready for combat operations.

On territories temporarily occupied by occupiers, looting and violent actions continue on the part of Russian military personnel towards civilian population. These actions are encouraged by their military command.

In the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day ten enemy attacks were repelled, fifteen tanks, twenty-four units of armored vehicles, and ten units of automotive equipment as well as three artillery systems of the enemy were destroyed.

By the Air Force Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the previous day thirteen aerial targets were engaged: one aircraft, one helicopter, five UAVs and six cruise missiles.

We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
