President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed our nation, in which he spoke about the main trait of the Ukrainian character and warned against possible information provocations by the occupiers.

"Ukrainians! Ukrainians!

The 43rd day of full-scale war has ended. Russia's war against Ukraine. A war that revealed the truth about our country, other countries, Russia, and the world in general. This war shows how much we did not want to notice in our state, in our people. How much the world believed foreign propaganda and Russian myths about Ukraine instead of what is actually true.

We have always been like this... We have always been brave. The bravest in the world. I am certain of that. Because who else would do what Ukrainians are doing? Who else has had such bravery to constantly fight against any manifestations of tyranny and defend freedom? At every election, during revolutions, and on the battlefield. Who else has had such bravery to fight against all forces of Russia on land, in the air, and at sea? Who else has had such bravery to go barehanded against Russian armored vehicles where Russians temporarily managed to seize something? Who else has had such bravery to tell the whole world that hypocrisy is a bad weapon? And not just say it but convince the world of honesty. Who else has had such bravery to urge the largest global companies to forget about accounting and remember morality? And all political leaders—no matter who they were—to learn at least a little bit to be Ukrainians... To be brave.

This is actually our brand. This is what it means to be us. To be Ukrainian. To be brave.

If everyone in the world had just ten percent of the bravery we have, there would simply be no danger for international law at all. No danger for freedom of nations. We will spread our bravery. We will start a special global campaign. We will teach the world to not just be a little bit but fully brave like us, Ukrainians.

Some results are already there. They mainly show up in effective sanctions against the Russian Federation. But that's the thing—the results are still only «some». Not enough yet to stop Russia. To stop the war.

Pay attention: it is no longer the first day when mass media talk not about how real sanctions against Russia work, but why these sanctions matter. As if they are convincing themselves that they have done the right thing and that the restrictions imposed are enough.

But if sanctions worked at 100%, there would be no need to explain in such detail and sparingly why they matter.

Therefore, I repeat once again: we need more sanctions. We need even bolder sanctions.

Bravery should be the criterion for evaluating decisions. Bravery and practicality.

Above all, Ukraine needs weapons that will give us the ability to win on the battlefield. And this will be the strongest sanction against Russia of all possible sanctions.

We have a good diplomatic news today. Russia is losing even in those areas it considered completely comfortable for itself.

Specifically, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution to terminate Russia's membership in the Human Rights Council. Logically and justly. But also not without struggle for this decision. Thank you to the countries that supported it. Russia has long had no relation to the concept of human rights. Perhaps one day this will change. But until then, Russian state and military are the greatest threat on the planet to freedom, security of people, and the concept of human rights as such. After Bucha, this is obvious.

Work has even started with clearing debris in Borodyanka... It's much worse there.

Even more victims of Russian occupiers. But what will happen when the world learns the truth about what Russian military did in Mariupol? Almost every street there—what the world saw in Bucha and other villages after the withdrawal of Russian troops. The same cruelty. Such terrible crimes.

More information is coming about how Russian propagandists are preparing, so to speak, a «mirror response» to shock all normal people with what they saw in Bucha. They plan to show the victims of Mariupol as if not Russian military killed them but rather Ukrainian defenders of the city. For this, occupiers are collecting bodies on the streets and transporting them. And may use them somewhere according to prepared propaganda scenarios.

We deal with criminals who have nothing human left in them. To justify their own killings, they take dead people just as decorations, as propaganda props. This is a separate war crime for which each propagandist will be held accountable.

More and more countries around the world support the need for full and transparent investigation of all war crimes by Russian occupiers in Ukraine. Every killing will be uncovered. Every grave will be found. All those who committed rape or looting will be identified. Accountability is inevitable.

Today I continued addressing parliaments and peoples of neighboring countries, our partners, our friends. Today it was Greece. Today it was the Republic of Cyprus.

I thanked them for supporting Ukraine and joint European efforts to force Russia to peace. Called on them to do even more to stop the war. Called on Greece to use its influence as part of the EU to save Mariupol. Called on Cyprus to apply special measures against Russia. Such as revoking «golden passports» for Russians. As well as blocking yachts, blocking other Russian ships that are in Cypriot waters.

Tomorrow I plan a new address—to the parliament and people of Finland.

I want to note that along with Kyivans returning to the capital, diplomatic representatives from other countries are also coming back. Yesterday Turkey's Embassy returned. Today Lithuania's Ambassador came back. Earlier, Slovenia's Embassy resumed operations in Kyiv.

Truly grateful to our friends who support us exactly as needed now, also at symbolic level and diplomatic gestures. This is also about bravery.

And I look forward to the opportunity to meet with everyone who stands with us. With everyone who is brave. Come back. With all diplomats returning to our capital and continuing their work.

The presence of foreign diplomatic missions in Kyiv—this is normal embassy work, a clear signal to the aggressor that Kyiv is our capital. Not a provincial city of Russia but Ukraine's capital.

Ukrainian Armed Forces continue doing everything to repel Russian troops' advance on Donbas. Enemy units are becoming more active and receiving new forces from Russia in this direction. We see all this. Analyze every enemy step. And will respond. Harshly.

And already—the standing tradition: before recording this address, I signed decrees to honor our bravest soldiers with state awards and the title of Hero of Ukraine.

344 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were honored. Another five servicemen became Heroes of Ukraine today.

Truly grateful for service to every one of our defenders! Truly grateful to each of our defenderesses!

Truly grateful for the bravery of the Ukrainian people!

Glory to Ukraine!"
