During a working visit to Mykolaiv, the president of the Ukrainian Football Association and head of the UAF Coordination Center, Andriy Pavelko, together with first vice-president of the UFA Vadym Kostyuchenko, met with representatives of the football community in the region — members of the local association's executive committee headed by its chairman Oleksandr Pasiichnyi, directors and coaches of local DUSHS (Children's Sports Schools) and football academies, as well as patrons who support the development of football in Mykolaiv.

The participants discussed the organization and provision of humanitarian aid to people affected by the war, as well as the evacuation of young students from football schools to western regions of Ukraine and into European partner football camps. The UAF humanitarian hub in Mykolaiv continues its work and, among other things, will coordinate requests for assistance coming from neighboring Kherson Oblast. This direction is coordinated by Andriy Gordiyev, head of the Kherson Football Association, who temporarily resides in Mykolaiv.

"The football family of Mykolaiv remains in their hometown, and each member does what they can for a collective victory. This was a very warm meeting with good friends. The top priority is the evacuation and safe placement of children far from combat operations, protecting our future. I am grateful to the football community for their inexhaustible optimism and courage!" — Andriy Pavelko noted after the meeting.
