Today, the Ukraine U-17 team (players born in 2005) learned the names of their potential opponents during the final tournament draw for Euro-2022.

The draw took place at the Daniel Herzliya hotel in Israel. The final tournament will be held there from May 16 to June 1. During the procedure, the sixteen participants were divided into four groups of four teams each.

If Oleksandr Kuznetsov's wards qualify for the Euro-2022 finals by finishing first in Group 6, they will play in Group A alongside Israel, Germany, and Luxembourg. However, if Ukraine finishes second in their qualifying group, they may end up in Group B with France, Netherlands, and Bulgaria. But to do so, they need a better result than Hungary, which secured the second spot in Group 1 with one point and a goal difference of -2.

We remind you that the last two finalists will be determined in April based on the results of the mini-tournament in Group 6, where Ukraine's youth team will participate. Our opponents in the Euro-2022 elite round are Italy, Kosovo, and Poland. The mini-tournament, which was to be hosted by Italy from March 23 to 29, has been rescheduled due to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. UEFA changed the dates for Group 6 matches. Our team’s games are scheduled for April 20, 23, and 26.
